In Heartopia, you’ll find a variety of activities to enjoy with friends and neighbors. Each activity grants special rewards that help you express yourself and develop new hobbies. Chances are, you’ll discover at least one mini-game that you’ll really enjoy, if not several!
We’ll go over all the events you can host in town and explain how you can earn rewards by participating. Here’s everything you need to become skilled at these mini-games and have fun with friends. Try your hand at fishing, bird watching, bug catching, and more through obstacle courses around the town.
Since Heartopia updates in real-time, new events may be added as you play. We’ll keep this guide current with those updates.
All Events in Heartopia
Starting an event is simple. When you reach Developer’s Guild level seven, you unlock different events inspired by each Hobby. Any guild member who has unlocked the feature can trigger these events. The first event costs 2,000 coins to start each week. As you start more events for a Hobby, the cost increases—so the second might cost 3,000 coins, and so on. You can join events once other players begin them, but you might need to apply and wait for approval. Sometimes, Mentor NPCs will start events at certain times of the day, which you can join freely.
When an event kicks off, you’ll have personal and group goals to achieve within a set time. Completing these goals rewards you with gacha pods, which you can open for new materials, furniture, and exclusive items.
Below are the different events in Heartopia and tips to get the most out of them. Checking your map will show when the next event is free to start and what times you can initiate new ones.
Bait the Insects Event
Head to Onsen Mountain and meet at the insect baiting device near the lake. You’ll have three minutes to catch as many bugs as possible. Make sure your tools are repaired, and you’ve eaten beforehand to maximize your efficiency. After the time ends, you’ll get a minute to travel to Crater Lake for the second part of the event, where you’ll have three more minutes to catch bugs again. Your final chance is to meet personal and group goals, such as catching a certain number of insects, to earn special rewards like Surprise Gacha Pods.
Sea Fishing Event
Go to the Fishing Village and talk to Bill to start. You’ll get on either boat one or boat two—be sure not to board the wrong one. When the captain sets sail, you’ll have a limited time to fish in the deep sea. Goldfish are very rare, so try to land them quickly. During the burst of color in the water, cast your line and reel in any fish you see. Using Mermaid Perfume can help boost your fishing chances temporarily. Your goals include catching a specific number of fish, and successful efforts will reward you with Surprise Gacha Pods.
Nest of Hundreds Event
Visit the Fishing Village to begin. Use your camera to photograph as many birds as possible within the time limit. Rare birds will appear, and you’ll need binoculars to find them before they fly away. Photos of chirping or lively birds earn more points. You can work on personal goals like earning 30 stars total, or team goals like gathering 150 stars together, both of which earn you rewards like Surprise Gacha Pods.
Bubble Machine Challenge
At Purple Light Beach, go to the inflatable bubble pool and start popping bubbles. The goal is to pop as many green and orange bubbles as possible before they turn red. Bubbles turn red quickly—so pop them fast. After two rounds, you’ll get a break to reposition for the second round. Work on personal goals such as earning six points, or team goals like earning 30 points by popping bubbles to earn Surprise Gacha Pods.
Yellow Duck Jump Puzzle
At Purple Light Beach, find the giant rubber duck and speak to Harry to begin. Your objective is to reach the top of the duck without falling. You can choose the pink or green path—the pink being more challenging, the green easier. In the center, four buttons can help teammates ascend faster by activating platforms, but they disappear once you step off. Complete at least two challenges for personal rewards like Surprise Gacha Pods, or help your group finish eight challenges together.
Tea Party Event
At your home lot, you can host a tea party by using your watch to send invites. Guests from your friends list or neighborhood can visit. Set out food, arrange puzzles, and bring party poppers to celebrate. Pet friends can even come over for a fun playdate. It’s a relaxing way to enjoy friendly gatherings and share the fun with others.
