Fashion in Pokémon Legends: Z-A isn’t just about clothing and accessories—your eyes can also be a style statement. Instead of traditional eye color options, what if you could have a stained-glass window look for your eyes, enhancing your character’s appearance in a unique way?

Throughout the game, you have the option to change your eye color anytime. But if you want more options, you’ll need to know where to look and who to help. The game offers six special colored contacts that aren’t available at the start of a new game. Unlike other customization items, these contacts can’t be bought—they’re earned by completing side missions.

There is a single woman named Arden, an artist, who provides all the side missions related to these contacts. You’ll find her standing outside the Stone Emporium on Vernal Avenue. She guides you through three waves of side quests, each offering two contacts and a similar goal:

1. Show Arden a Mega Camerupt to earn Fired Up and Lovestruck contacts.
2. Show a Mega Sableye to earn Starry Eyes and Black Void contacts.
3. Show a Mega Medicham to earn Poké Ball and Cyber contacts.

In battles against Arden’s team, which always features the same three Pokémon (Watchog, Krokorok, and Meowstic), you’ll notice her Pokémon gain levels over time. It’s often best to Mega Evolve your Pokémon early using a Mega Stone—Cameruptite, in this case—which you already have from an earlier encounter with a rogue Mega boss. To win this part of the quest, you just need to Mega Evolve a Camerupt during the fight, even if it faints afterward; winning isn’t necessary, just Mega Evolution.

After defeating Arden with a Mega Camerupt, she rewards you with the two contacts from that wave, along with some other items like two Fresh Waters and 1,200 Poke Dollars. Camerupt can be found in the Wild Area as an Alpha in Zone 8 or by catching a Numel and evolving it at level 33.

The second quest involves Mega Sableye. You will need to acquire a Sableye and Mega Evolve it during a battle. To do this, you may need to purchase a Mega Stone called Sablenite for 180 Mega Shards, which are obtained by breaking pink rocks around the city. Sableye is typically found in Zone 9, usually under the rafters. Once you successfully Mega Evolve Sableye, Arden will reward you with the Starry Eyes and Black Void contacts, plus two Soda Pops and 3,000 Poke Dollars.

The final side mission is for Mega Medicham. After completing the Sableye task, Arden often asks for a Mega Medicham. You can purchase Medichamite at the Stone Emporium for 50,000 Poke Dollars or catch Meditite in Zone 6 and evolve it at level 37, or wait to catch a Medicham in Zone 16 during the day. Upon completion, Arden will give you the Poke Ball and Cyber contacts, along with additional items: two Lemons, one Medium Exp. Candy, and 5,000 Poke Dollars.

To change your eye color, open your main menu and navigate to the Outfits tab by pressing the “-” button. From there, go to the Looks tab by pressing ZR. The contacts are in the second dropdown menu, marked with a red dot if they are new or recently acquired. All new contacts appear at the bottom of the menu.

This method allows you to customize your character’s eyes with a variety of colors and styles, adding an extra layer of personal expression to your game experience.
