Progress Achievements
The game “The King Is Watching” has 22 achievements to unlock, starting from the beginning. Make sure to practice and learn the game’s management systems to earn them all. Completing these challenges earns you Ascension Crystals, which are essential for unlocking the most powerful options. Though tricky, with patience and effort, you can achieve them.
You can see your progress on the Preparation Screen, near the Threat Level indicator at the bottom. If you’ve already completed a challenge, a Crystal will be available there for claiming.

---|---|
Peasant |
Win in any biome at any Threat Level (difficulty). |
Militia |

Swordsman |

Knight |

To unlock these achievements, you must progress through Threat Levels in order: Threat Level 1 first, then 2, and up to 10. Each biome’s Threat Level is tracked separately, so you’ll need to complete each one individually. Once you beat a Threat Level in a biome, you can choose to play on any Threat Level up to your highest beaten one when starting a new run from the Preparation screen.
Challenge Achievements
The other achievements are tracked in the Challenges section, which you unlock using Town Denarii—green coins earned at the end of each run. When you complete an achievement, you can claim its rewards from the Book of Challenges. This section is also where you unlock King Abilities after defeating bosses with different playable characters.

Tips |
---|---|---|
No Gaze Upgrades |
Win a run without upgrading your Gaze. |
Avoid playing as Leonid or Spellus, as they start with smaller Gazes. This includes upgrades earned through event choices. |
No Army Limit Upgrades |
Win a run without increasing your army limit. |
Make sure your starting limit is fully upgraded with Town Denarii. Keep Barracks well-stocked. Alucard’s abilities can help focus on better units rather than more units. |
No Spells |
Win a run without casting any spells. |
Play on Threat Level 1 and avoid using Spellus, as his powers involve spells. |
No Castle Damage |
Avoid letting your castle take any damage during a run. |
Use Prophecies like Slow Zone to keep enemies away, and place ranged units behind walls with durable warriors to defend effectively. |
Deforestation |
Destroy all trees on the battlefield during one run. |
Use offensive spells that destroy trees from a distance, or play as Spellus and cast Deforestation repeatedly while troops do the fighting. You can also pick Wise Tree as your Councilor and cast Deforestation across the entire map. |
Strength In Numbers |
Have 40 units on the battlefield at once. |
Use summoning spells and upgrade troop limits. Baldwin’s Raise Militia can summon many peasants if kept alive. |
High Morale |
Reach 100 Morale. |
Focus on wood production to build Arenas and Taverns, grouping them for maximum morale boosts. Alucard’s Second Life ability can help produce extra Wine to boost morale. |
Collect Them All |
Have at least one unit of every class on the battlefield. |
Some units belong to multiple classes. Focus on recruiting different classes: Grunt, Warrior, Ranged, Rider, Flying, Champion, Arcane, and Undead. Alucard finds it easier to gather Undead units. |
Double Damage |
Increase any class’s damage bonus to +100% or more. |
Choose Troop Training rewards repeatedly to spam attack boosts for your favorite class until you reach the target. |
Self Defense |
Eliminate 5,000 enemies across multiple runs. |
Keep playing, especially focusing on large enemy groups when choosing Prophecies. |
Ungrounded Executions |
Execute 200 of your units over time. |
Build an Execution Ground next to a Peasant Hut, cycle recruiting and executing units. Upgrading the guillotine for extra Denarii makes this a good way to earn bonuses. |
Royal Cellar |
Stockpile 2000 Wine. |
Have multiple Vineyards and Wineries, preferably upgraded. Alucard’s Second Life ability can help produce considerable Wine. Keep in mind, Wine is used automatically during fights, so you’re racing against your own troops’ thirst. |
First Blood |
You’ll get this just by playing the game. The first wave on Village features a Goblin Bandit, easily handled by Peasant Huts. |
|
Creative Limitations |
Win at least once with Wise Tree and Betty as Councilors (not necessarily in the same game). |
Betty halts self-resource production but grants extra Denarii. Wise Tree limits resource input but adds resource bonuses when fighting. Use these strategies to win based on their strengths. |
Village Mastery |
Defeat each boss in the Village biome at least once. |
You need Threat Level 2 or higher to fight Tier 3 bosses. It may take multiple runs to encounter all bosses since each run is random. |
Graveyard Mastery |
Defeat each boss in the Graveyard biome at least once. |
Similarly, you’ll need at least Threat Level 2. Multiple runs may be required to face all bosses, as bosses are randomized at each Tier. |
Playing on Threat Level 0 disables achievements and challenges. Make sure to play at Threat Level 1 or higher to earn rewards.
