How to Cleanse the Sanctum of Benediction in Crimson Desert by Completing and Solving

As you reach chapter five in Crimson Desert, you won’t be able to move forward with the main story until you save a witch from a house and then meet her at her home. Meeting Elowen allows you to continue the story and unlocks a faction mission to cleanse four sanctums located across Hernand.

Most of these sanctums are near spots you’ve already visited in earlier chapters, making them easier to find. However, the Sanctum of Benediction might lead you into an unexplored area, requiring you to cross numerous mountains to reach it.

### Where to Find the Sanctum of Benediction

When you zoom all the way out on the map, Hernand is clearly marked as one of the main regions. To locate the Sanctum of Benediction, look just below the “E” in Hernand. It’s likely an area you haven’t explored yet if you’re trying to cleanse sanctums early in the quest.

The best way to get there is to start from the city of Hernand, head slightly north, then move straight west just below the Hernand label on the map. Expect to cross some mountains along the way; riding your horse might not be possible the entire journey.

### How to Cleanse the Sanctum of Benediction

Once you arrive at the Sanctum of Benediction, you’ll notice it’s covered in snow, which can make the environment quite cold unless you’re wearing ice-resistant clothing. The cold increases stamina drain and slows regeneration, making fights a bit tougher.

Your first task is to defeat enough enemies to free the sanctum. After clearing it, head south from the location to find the missing cube needed for the main mechanism. Descend some stairs, and you’ll see the cube floating in a room to your right.

> Tip: If fighting enemies is challenging, you can use this room to isolate and take them out one by one.

For the missing pillar part, look southwest of the main mechanism. There’s a secret door to this room’s side; it can be opened by lighting a nearby lantern. Bring both parts to the main mechanism and connect them using Axiom Force and Force Palm techniques.

This process will cleanse the Sanctum of Benediction and complete this part of the quest.
