How to Claim the Exclusive April Fool's Limited Item

Pokémon Pokopia has hosted one major event so far, and another one is coming in late April. But before that, there’s a fun April Fool’s Day bonus you can enjoy.

On April 1, there’s a special mini-event in Pokémon Pokopia alongside a recent crossover. You’ll want to act quickly to take part, but if you miss it, there are still ways to get the reward.

How to Get the Inflatable Sudowoodo

You’ll need to solve three riddles to earn the Inflatable Sudowoodo, which acts like one of those wacky waving inflatable arm-flailing tube figures.

Here’s what to do:

Visit each zone and look for NPC Pokémon with speech bubbles and “…” above their heads.
Talk to them and guess which Pokémon they’re mimicking based on hints like their mood or appearance.
Repeat this process two more times.
Go to any Pokémon Center and access the PC.
Select the Sudowoodo prize in the challenges section.

The riddles involve guessing which Pokémon NPCs are imitating. They might give you clues based on emotions or looks, but if you’re unsure, just take a wild guess. You have a 50/50 chance to get it right, and if you don’t, move to the next zone and try again with different Pokémon. With enough tries, especially if all areas are unlocked, you should be able to get three correct answers and earn the inflatable prize.

You can also recreate the inflatable Sudowoodo by taking a picture with your camera and spending 2 Rare Poké Metals to 3D print it.

Can You Get the April Fool’s Item by Time Traveling?

Yes, it’s pretty simple. If you’re reading this after April 1, you can still go back to that date on your Nintendo Switch 2. Just zone in, follow the steps above, and claim your item. Once you have it, you can keep it even if you change the date again — just remember to save your game first.

Time travel is a good way to relive past Pokémon Pokopia events and avoid missing out. While Mystery Gifts don’t support this feature, certain events can be accessed through time travel.
