In Terminull Brigade, you explore the Nullverse—an action-packed science-fiction roguelike shooter where you choose one of six unique heroes called Rogueteers. Each attempt involves clearing rooms filled with enemies and giant bosses as you develop custom gear using modular perks, relics, and special character skills.
Among the early Rogueteers you encounter, Blade stands out with her high mobility and versatile mix of melee and ranged attacks. Each fight becomes a dynamic dance, requiring precision, speed, and momentum. If quick reactions and fast-paced combat appeal to you, Blade is a great choice to navigate the smooth, quick-moving gameplay.
How to Build Blade
Blade is a hybrid melee and ranged Rogueteer unlocked through login rewards or events. She combines quick sword strikes with rapid SMG fire, switching between both to deal steady, burst damage. Her skills rely on managing cooldowns and making fast decisions.
Her abilities flow seamlessly: ranged slashes and dashes reduce her sword’s cooldown, while her ultimate ability boosts her short-term skill uptime. Although she’s somewhat fragile, her speed, disruption tactics, and raw damage make her deadly. With proper timing and a good build, Blade can quickly take down bosses and control the battlefield.
Skills
Blade’s core skills include:
- Thrill of the Hunt (Ultimate): Executes a wide slash followed by a sheathing strike. Hits reduce Shadow Sprint’s cooldown significantly.
- Blade of Destiny (Primary): Fires a chain of three light arcs using Violet Vengeance, each hit slightly lowering Shadow Sprint’s cooldown.
- Shadow Sprint (Minor): Dashes forward, dealing damage in a line, during which Blade is untargetable and immune to damage.
- Lethal Instinct (Passive): Each hit from Thrill of the Hunt or Blade of Destiny decreases Shadow Sprint’s cooldown, keeping her mobile.
Her gameplay involves chaining these skills together: quick slashes, fast dashes, and damage bursts. The abilities support a rapid, aggressive playstyle centered on movement and cooldown management.
Perks
Blade’s perk setup emphasizes her speed and damage potential. Combining active perks like Thunder Surge (which applies Thunderstrike to enemies), Speed of Sound (emits a sound wave after evading), and the summoning of high-energy Cubies keeps her constantly disrupted and damaging enemies around her. Damage-enhancing perks, such as Volume Increase and Echo Shock, further boost her burst capability, turning each knockback or impact into area damage.
Perks like Energy Saving Offense and Energy Sapping Dodge help maintain her ability charges, enabling relentless aggression without running out of resources. Life Rhythm increases her maximum health, ensuring she can sustain her relentless high-speed attacks.
Potentials
Potentials are character-specific upgrades unlocked through gameplay, greatly amplifying her effectiveness. The Battle-Axe Set increases skill and ultimate damage, perfectly synergizing with Blade’s rapid attack and reset playstyle. Combining it with relics like Fine Axe (for additional skill damage) and Precision SMG (to speed up ultimate charge) makes her even more lethal.
Other potentials like the Medkit Set and Divine Blade Set add survivability and melee damage, respectively, which complement her favored close-range combat.
Relics
Relics are pickups found during runs, offering minor stat boosts and set bonuses. The Precise Scalpel relic, for example, can instantly recharge a random skill after defeating an enemy, prolonging combos and reducing downtime. The Medkit and Divine Blade relic sets provide durability and damage bonuses for close-range combat.
The Neon Shield is Blade’s best relic, combining a scaling shield with damage boosts that stack as she hits enemies. It also features an ability to fire a powerful laser after reactivation, providing both protection and damage in key moments. Trust relic delivers melee strikes that heal and restore health, but requires precise timing and close proximity.
Weapons
Blade’s main weapon, the Floating Neon SMG, offers strong damage output with special abilities. Utilizing the Trust weapon allows melee strikes that deal significant damage while restoring health and creating shields, ideal for aggressive play. The Neon SMG also has an ability called Haste, which reduces its cooldown with each hit, aligning well with her speed-focused build.
For balance, the Heartfelt weapon provides invulnerable dashes and tracking bullets, boosting mobility and attack options, although it trades some ranged damage for close-range power.
How to Play Blade
Executing Blade successfully hinges on maintaining smooth, fluid movement and constantly firing skills. Start fights by activating Blade of Destiny or Thrill of the Hunt, which both help reduce her Shadow Sprint cooldown. Use dashes to weave through enemies, delivering damage while staying untargetable.
Her passive, Lethal Instinct, feeds cooldown reductions with every hit, so blending melee strikes, ranged Slash attacks, and dash resets keeps her in a state of continuous motion and high damage output. Staying in motion, attacking, and evading prevent her from taking significant damage and allow her to extend combos transparently.
Since Blade has low defenses and limited health regeneration, boosting her evasion is crucial for survival. Using relics like Neon Shield increases her durability, making her more capable of soaking up hits during aggressive pushes.
Combine her perks and relics—such as the Battle-Axe Set, Neon Shield, and speed-focused abilities—to create a feedback loop of dashes, tracking shots, critical hits, and energy management. Target priority is vital; focusing on high-value enemies to build up energy and damage boosts quickly will help end runs faster. Use precise hits and timely skill activation to refund charges and maximize the effects of Potentials like Computing Power Stacking and Rapid Reload.
This approach results in a swift, high-damage rhythm that makes Blade a formidable burst damage Rogueteer when mastered.
