Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Story Summary
The story of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is full of surprises. It covers events like the fall of the Ming Dynasty, legends of the Bo people, the unfair treatment of women, and more. The game doesn’t stick to just one focus but shows how the Feathering problem spreads across the land. All of this revolves around one man – the last emperor of the Ming Dynasty.
In the game, Zhu Youjian, who fought behind the sealed Burning Cave where Wuchang first woke up, wants to rebuild the Ming Dynasty’s power before it collapses completely. However, it’s uncertain if he truly is the last Emperor or just a revived version of him. Still, Wuchang must find a way to defeat him.
Preparation for the Dragon Emperor
Before you go into battle against the Reborn, make sure your equipment is just right. The Reborn mostly attacks with physical damage, but the Dragon Emperor uses a mix of physical, magic, and Feathering attacks. It’s important to build resistance to these types. Fortunately, there are no status effects to worry about.
For your gear, equip Fire Tempering and spells that cause Burn. It’s best to use defensive spells since most offensive spells won’t work well against the Dragon Emperor.

Dragon Emperor’s Strengths and Weaknesses
Both the Reborn and the Dragon Emperor are weak to fire and burn damage. Exploiting this can give you a big advantage. Aside from that, there isn’t much to find to your benefit. You’ll need to learn how to dodge their attacks and find openings to strike. Luckily, neither of their health bars are very large, so they can be defeated fairly quickly.

Remember, the biggest weakness for both the Reborn and the Dragon Emperor is their poor response to fire and burn. Use this to your advantage every time.
Other than that, your best strategy is to dodge their attacks and wait for the right moments to attack. Neither of them has huge health pools, so defeating them won’t take too long.

Phase One — The Reborn

Each phase is quite different, with the second turning into a much more magic-focused fight. Both phases have separate health bars, so you’re effectively fighting two bosses at once.
How to Beat the Dragon Emperor – Zhu Youjian
The Battle
Start by noting that the Reborn’s attacks can hit unexpectedly wide. It’s safest to assume you are always in danger and dodge any attack you see coming.
They are also very weak to fire and burn damage. Use the Burning Flames Spell and equip Fire Tempering to maximize your damage. Since they are quite fragile, quick attacks can help reduce their health fast.
You can summon an NPC helper during this fight, but only in the first phase. During the second phase, helpers won’t be available.
The second phase is entirely different. The Dragon Emperor relies heavily on magic attacks, so staying at a distance is best. Watch out for their sword strikes, which are deadly if ignored.
To make this phase easier, use the Echo of the Bo Magus spell, which grants a shield that absorbs hits up to a set amount of health. Most spells get absorbed, so rely on your weapon attacks instead. Don’t forget to use Fire Tempering here to exploit their fire weakness.
Rewards
After defeating the Dragon Emperor, you head to the final major location of the game. You’ll receive three items: The Vermilion Ancient Chisel, the Echo of Zhu Youjian spell, and the Jade Seal key item.
