Ogremon, Fugamon, and Hyogamon are three Titans you’ll face early in the Digital World during your adventure in the game. You’ll encounter these bosses shortly after entering the Digital World for the first time. Later in the game, you’ll fight them again, but the strategies you use will stay the same.
All three are Virus-type Digimon, which means they are weak to Vaccine-type Digimon. Keep this in mind when choosing your team. Additionally, Ogremon is vulnerable to Fire and Earth attacks, Fugamon is weak against Water and Ice, and Hyogamon is susceptible to Fire and Steel attacks.
During the battle, Ogremon uses Pummel Whack, a Dark physical attack that hits one Digimon and reduces its accuracy. If your attacks keep missing, use skills like Meditator to clear this debuff. Fugamon attacks with Wolkenapalm I, a Fire attack that targets one enemy, and Evil Hurricane, which hits all party members with Wind damage. Hyogamon uses Snow Punch for Ice damage on a single target and Diamond Dust I, an Ice attack that hits everyone.
Partway through, Minervamon joins the fight and occasionally uses Strike Roll, dealing decent damage to one target. After some more turns, Aegiomon learns Stun Beat Blow, which does extra damage to Titans and can cause Paralysis. This will be your main attack from Aegiomon for the rest of the fight. Later, Coronomon will also attack with Corona Flame, a Fire move targeting a Titan.
Your main strategy should be to take down the Titans one at a time. When you defeat Fugamon or Hyogamon, Ogremon’s defense (DEF) and special points (SPI) decrease, making him easier to beat. Use your Cross Arts to eliminate Fugamon or Hyogamon first, then focus on Ogremon last.
Since these enemies are weak to Vaccine Digimon, building your team is simple. For the first encounter, you should have access to Champion-level Digimon. We recommend using Greymon and Strikedramon for Fire attacks, Sorcermon and Mojyamon for Ice, and Leomon for Earth damage. If you don’t yet have Champion-level Digimon, you can use earlier evolutions like Agumon, Gomamon, or Monodramon, which work well.
To increase your chances, bring Attachment Skills that provide additional elemental coverage, especially Fire, Earth, and Ice attacks. Since you’re facing three different weaknesses, covering all bases with these elements will help you succeed. When fighting Ogremon, Fugamon, and Hyogamon again later, your current team should still be effective, especially if you approach it with the same principles.
