Fused Reanimated is one of the most visually disturbing fights in Romeo is a Dead Man, and it really fights just as grotesquely as it looks. This toxic monster turns the environment into a weapon, splattering surfaces with poison while alternating between aggressive charges and hanging from the ceiling to retreat.
The number of hazards on the battlefield can initially feel overwhelming. Once you accept that staying perfectly on foot is rarely possible, a rhythm emerges. Using your ranged weapons becomes just as important as your melee attacks. The boss’s frequent retreats into the ceiling become opportunities instead of frustrations.
Fused Reanimated Attacks
Fused Reanimated has many attacks—most of which are quite poisonous. Staying alert is key to avoiding the dangerous areas it creates.
| Attack | Description | How To Counter |
|---|---|---|
| Poison Spit | The boss shoots a large stream of poison from its mouth, aimed at the floor in front and then following a vertical path toward you. | Recognize the attack early and move aside quickly. If you’re close enough, it’s a good chance to damage it. |
| Melee Attack | The boss performs two quick swipes and then slams the ground. Sometimes it will grab and throw Romeo for big damage. | When you’re close, watch for it to start and back away to avoid the ground slam or grab. |
| Charging Attack | The boss crosses its arms and rushes at Romeo, performing several dashes in a row. | Dodge to the sides; sprinting is often more effective than dodging in place. |
| Poison Puddles | While hanging from the ceiling, the boss shoots out clusters of purple globules that land on the ground and deal damage if stepped on. | Watch for when it’s on the ceiling and note where it spits. Avoid those spots. |
| Slamming Landing | After hanging, it slams down onto the ground in front of you, causing damage if close. | Move away when you see it on the ceiling. |
| Poison Waterfalls | When low on health, it opens ducts while hanging, ejecting large pools of poison across the floor. | Stay alert and keep moving to avoid the expanding poison zones. |
| Poison Tornado | The boss spins on its back, shooting two streams of projectiles: one close to the ground and one in the air. | Dodge through the ground projectiles as the beams reach you; jumping over them just gets hit by the aerial shots. |
How To Beat Fused Reanimated
This boss leaves little room for error, so mastering its attack timing and weak points is crucial. It has three clear weak spots that, when hit, cause significant damage. Because it moves quickly and bounces around a lot, a good method is to use your machine gun. It’s great for hitting multiple moving targets.
The boss frequently gets out of reach by clinging to the ceiling, giving you moments to step back and unleash your best gunfire from afar. The longer the fight goes on, the more manageable it becomes—especially since it’s easier to handle when its health is lower. During these moments, Poison Tornado is less threatening, and hazard avoidance gets simpler with careful dodging and attacks.
Using your Bloody Summer charges wisely is helpful, especially to recover health lost from environment hazards and difficult attacks. Saving these charges for healing during the fight can be a game changer.
