“The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin” is an open-world MMO anime game where players take on the roles of familiar characters from the series. As a gacha game, players need to pull from banners to acquire SSR (Super Super Rare) characters featured on those banners. Each gacha system has a pity mechanism that determines how much you need to spend to guarantee the character you want.

There are several banners to choose from, with some featuring higher chances for specific characters. The main banners include a permanent one, always available with its own currency, and limited-time banners that last for 21 days, showcasing featured characters.

Gacha System Explained

The game offers two main hero banners, each containing both weapons and characters. Players don’t need to pull on a specific weapon banner, so focusing on hero banners makes sense.

Banner Type Features Resources Needed
Regular Banner Always available; includes all heroes and weapons Star Memory, Star Fragments, Regular Hero Draw Ticket
Featured Banner Limited-time; features a specific hero and weapons Star Memory, Star Fragments, Hero Pick Up Draw Ticket

The rates for pulling SSR characters vary per banner. The featured banner’s SSR rate for the special hero is lower but is the only way to get that particular character. The permanent banner has higher chances for SSR units but doesn’t include the exclusive featured character.

Banner Rates Breakdown

  • Regular Banner SSR rate: approximately 0.8% (about 0.1143% per SSR)
  • Regular Banner SR (Super Rare) rate: 6% for characters, 6% for weapons
  • R (Rare) rate: 93.2%, mostly weapons (about 2.589% per weapon)
  • Once you reach about 80 pulls without hitting an SSR, you’re guaranteed one in the next pull. The limited-time “Hero Pick Up” banner guarantees the featured hero after 120 pulls, but you can get other SSRs along the way. The regular banner guarantees an SSR after 80 pulls, but progress is tracked separately.

Limited-Time Hero Pick Up Banner

The featured hero (such as Meliodas) has a higher chance, at around 0.4%, to appear on this special banner compared to other SSR options. You won’t find the featured character on the permanent banner, so pulling from the limited-time banner is necessary if you want that exclusive SSR.

Pity System

The game has a pity system ensuring you get an SSR after a certain number of pulls:

  • 80 pulls guarantee an SSR hero.
  • 120 pulls guarantee the featured hero with the Hero Pick Up bonus.
  • The counters are independent; progress on one banner does not carry over to another. Each banner has its own odds and separate pity count.

Exclusive Skin Banner

This banner features items for boosting your characters, such as chests, potions, and growth items. It also includes a weapon skin, as there is no dedicated weapon banner. You can only draw each item once, so within 10 pulls, you are guaranteed to obtain every item listed. The premium reward here is a new outfit for a character, for example, a new outfit for Meliodas.
