It took me about 19 and a half hours to finish Metal Gear Solid Delta. Keep in mind, this was with some background knowledge since I’ve played it before, so I knew where to go and what to do. If it’s your first time playing, it might take a little longer. I also tried to avoid killing enemies, which added some time, especially when dealing with bosses like The End in MGS 3, where there are different ways to beat him. If you want to speed through and just see the credits, you can probably finish it sooner.
Based on different play styles and experience levels, here are some rough estimates for how long it might take to complete Metal Gear Solid Delta:
– About 15 to 16 hours for a quick run-through, focusing only on the main objectives and skipping extras.
– Around 20 hours if you take your time with some exploration, avoiding lethal approaches when possible, and battling bosses like a semi-precision player.
– Over 25 hours for a complete 100% playthrough, trying to unlock everything, since some items are only available upon full completion and some details can be missed.
If you’re feeling stuck or want some tips, I’ve put together a beginner’s guide and some helpful tricks for your first run. I also answered questions on which Metal Gear game might suit you best if you’re choosing your starting point.
In general, expect around 20 hours to finish Metal Gear Solid Delta, give or take five hours depending on how much you want to explore or cut corners.
