There are expected to be over 40 boss fights in Hollow Knight: Silksong, based on the game’s official trailer. To put it in perspective, the first Hollow Knight game featured around 47 boss encounters, though some were minor variations or jokes that didn’t pose a real threat. Silksong will likely have a similar number of battles, and possibly more, depending on how things turn out in the final version. Originally planned as downloadable content for Hollow Knight, Silksong now appears to match the original in scope and size.
So far, a handful of bosses have been confirmed through trailers and promotional images. These include:
- Bell Beast: A large, armored beetle that, once defeated, becomes a fast travel mount.
- Carmelita: A prominent character shown in promotional materials; she is a huntress who fights in an arena before spectators.
- Lace: A small, quick enemy with a cane that shows up in multiple parts of the game.
- Last Judge: A big, powerful boss capable of moving quickly and casting fire across the arena.
- Moss Mother: The game’s first boss; she is a flying enemy that drops rocks, stabs with her stinger, and calls in other bugs.
- Seth: An ancient, speedy insect wielding a sword and shield, reminiscent of a classic knight.
- Sharpe: A sharp-nosed assassin who attacks Hornet from a distance with quick, whip-like moves.
- Trobbio: An elegant, winged performer who uses fireworks and dance-inspired attacks to assault players.
