As you defeat enemies, they will drop weapons, including heavy weapons like LMGs, rocket launchers, and plasma cannons.
These heavy weapons can be placed in the Ordnance Slot once you find them. While you can still use grenade mods, having heavy weapons gives you more options. This cooldown varies depending on the mod. When selecting grenade mods, check their cooldown stat to ensure you can reuse them quickly when needed.
#### How Heavy Weapons Work
Heavy weapons also require ammo, which acts as a countdown until the weapon can no longer be fired. When you run out of ammo, you’ll need to wait for the cooldown period to finish before reusing the heavy weapon. The cooldowns differ from one heavy weapon to another. When you pick up a heavy weapon, you can see how long its cooldown lasts in its tooltip. Note that you can’t use heavy weapons during Fight for Your Life mode, and if you don’t fire a shot while using them, some weapons may avoid a cooldown, allowing you to switch back quickly.
