In Hollow Knight: Silksong, one of the most useful materials you’ll find is Craftmetal. As the name suggests, Craftmetal is used to craft various tools that can boost your skills. These tools can help you come up with new strategies to defeat bosses and explore areas more easily.

Moss Grotto / Bone Bottom
The first Craftmetal in the game can be bought from Pebb, the merchant in Bone Bottom, part of Moss Grotto. It costs 60 Rosaries. Don’t worry if you don’t have enough early on—you can come back later when you’ve collected more.

The Marrow
Travel to The Marrow and attack the orange orb on the left (stand back!) to reveal a secret passage. Inside, drop down to the right, avoiding spikes, and strike the wall on the right to uncover a piece of Craftmetal.

Deep Docks
Head to the eastern part of Deep Docks, just before the Far Fields entrance. In a large rectangular room, check the bottom-left corner and break the boulder to find another piece of Craftmetal.

Wisp Thicket
From the northwestern part of Wisp Thicket, go right until you reach a giant boulder down an unmapped pathway. Break the boulder to reveal the Craftmetal.

Go to the southeastern area called The Cauldron in Underworks. Carefully run left along the corridor to avoid lava, then attack a boulder to reveal the Craftmetal. Be ready to fight an ambushing Undercrank afterward.

Find this point in the map, then drop into the passage on your right. As you fall, drift into the first left passage, continue down, and break the wall at the end to get another piece of Craftmetal.

Go to the far right in the Putrified Ducts area, specifically in Pale Lake. Use double jump or wall jump to reach a small alcove, then break the wall to find Craftmetal.

Reach Act 3 of the game and complete the quest “The Lost Merchant” via the Songclave Wishboard. Speak to Jubilana to purchase Craftmetal for 180 Rosaries.

Only two places let you use Craftmetal:
- Forge Daughter, southeast of Deep Docks Bellway Station
- The Twelfth Architect, above in the Underworks map
Both merchants have special items that cost one Craftmetal plus Rosaries. Each item serves different purposes, from traps to defensive tools. You’ll find detailed tables listing these items and their costs in the game.

- The game has 8 pieces of Craftmetal.
- You can craft all available tools from the 7 items in the shop and the one that requires the Ruined Tool (found in Bilewater).
- The Silkshot is a special case; it only becomes available after retrieving the Ruined Tool and unlocking the item later in the game.
