Guide to Solving the Secret Box Puzzle (Lost in the Fog Challenge)

Silent Hill f’s Secret Box can be one of its trickiest puzzles, no matter what difficulty level you’re playing on. While the Lost in the Fog difficulty doesn’t completely change the puzzle’s solution, it does add an extra layer that makes it a bit more challenging to solve.

When you come across the Secret Box puzzle, you’re stuck in a classroom with no way out until you solve it. If you’ve played it on a lower difficulty before, you might think you understand how the box works. But in this version, you get to slide twice as many slats, which spreads the correct answers over a wider range of options, making it a little harder to figure out.

### Secret Box Lost in the Fog Puzzle Solutions

The clues for the Secret Box puzzle in Lost in the Fog are the same as in the Hard difficulty. The first hint mentions a trip to a cafe, where the writer enjoyed a cake with “sweet and tart fruit.” Based on this, you need to choose all the sweet and tart fruits on the box.

#### First Layer of the Box

Slide the panels to reveal the fruits hidden behind them. The light-colored panels can only slide in one direction and show one image at a time, while the darker panels open from the middle and reveal two images in each row. The goal is to select the correct fruits based on the clues.

Here’s what the first layer looks like:

– Front side shows Grapefruit and Apple.
– Back side shows Cherries, Strawberries, Grapes, and Pineapple.

#### Second Layer of the Box

Once you’ve selected the right answers from the first layer, press the action button to move to the second layer. The next clue involves journals, so select all images that depict journals, including a repeating one on both sides of the box.

– Front side includes open, standing, and closed journals.
– Back side shows different journal images, including an open journal.

#### Third Layer of the Box

Press the action button again to get the final layer and the last clue, which is about blossoming sakura. You need to pick three images of blooming cherry blossoms and one of a tree shedding petals.

– Front side features sakura branches, sakura blossoms, sakura trees, and a shedding tree.
– Back side shows sakura blossoms and trees with petals falling.

After selecting the correct images, press the action button one last time. Submit your answers to receive the Second Floor Classroom Key, which lets you explore further and solve additional puzzles like locker combinations. In Silent Hill f, you won’t get locked in classrooms with difficult puzzles anymore, so you can focus on uncovering secrets without that pressure.
