Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 takes side quests to a whole new level. Instead of cluttering your map with icons for quest givers, the game prompts you to venture out and interact with characters like innkeepers and townsfolk who can point you in the right direction.
This means you won’t just wait for quests to find you; you have to actively seek them out. One of the quests available is called Yackers ‘n’ Fash, the initial segment of a series from Foreman Vlach that needs your assistance.
How To Begin The Yackers ‘n’ Fash Quest
Once you’ve finished the Speak of the Devil quest, you can initiate Yackers ‘n’ Fash by talking to Foreman Vlach. He’s located in the southern area of the Kuttenberg region, although his exact location may change depending on the time of day.
You might catch him at work in the mines, but he won’t engage while he’s busy.
To move forward, you’ll need to wait until later in the evening, when he can be found at the Black Horse Tavern. After you agree to help him, the Yackers ‘n’ Fash quest will kick off.
How To Access Saints’ Den
To enter Saints’ Den, you’ll need to utilize the underground pathways of Kuttenberg. There are several entrances available, but the simplest one is located just southeast of the Black Horse Tavern and doesn’t require any lockpicking or hassle.
Once you’ve located the tunnel entrance, step inside and follow the path while keeping to the right. Eventually, Henry will comment to confirm you’re moving in the right direction.
Shortly after, you’ll come across a ladder. Climb it and then continue along the path until you see a door. Henry will express relief with ‘Finally’; pick the lock and you’ll gain entry to Saints’ Den.
Inside, you will encounter Joerg Preng and his group. You can interact with him and choose from multiple options: engage in a fistfight, challenge them to a dice game, or opt for one of the remaining two dialogue choices that involve a skill check.
It’s advisable to try the dialogue options first before resorting to the other choices. That said, if you’re skilled at dice games in this title, you might prefer that route.
How To Locate Merchant Hensel
After you’re done with Joerg Preng, you can exit the tunnel by going back the way you came or through one of the other several exits. Then, head south from Kuttenberg towards your map’s objective area.
Once there, go to the intersection just west of the target location, where you’ll discover a sack filled with blood that updates your objective.
From this point, you’ll need to follow a series of clues.
Continue moving south, and you’ll notice some cart tracks. Press on, and you’ll ultimately find a stray cart. Near it, you’ll observe a trail of blood. Follow this trail until you confront some wolves. Once you’ve dealt with them, interact with the corpse, revealing it to be the merchant Hensel, who has met an unfortunate fate.
How To Finish The Yackers ‘n’ Fash Quest
Further south, you will see the small village of Danemark from a distance. Make your way towards it and look for a mill nearby.
As you approach, be ready for a group of enemies to attack you on sight, so stay alert.
Take caution, as there will be many foes. You might want to be stealthy and take out a few enemies quietly before confronting the rest.
Once you’ve dealt with them, head to the lower door of the southern building. Inside, you’ll find a chest on the right side of the room containing the item you need. Loot the chest for the St Anthony’s Standard and then head back to Vlach.
Return to Vlach at his spot and present him with the Saint Anthony. Completing this task will wrap up the Yackers ‘n’ Fash quest.
