Roaming around Lumiose City in Pokémon Legends: Z-A offers one of the most immersive experiences in the series. You’ll see Pokémon wandering the streets, Mega Stones waiting to be collected, and many hidden secrets and quests to discover. There are also trainers to meet and interact with during your journey.
Some trainers in the game offer in-game trades for rare Pokémon. These trades are a great way to expand your team early on or get Pokémon that are hard to find otherwise. We’ll show you every trade available and give you an idea of what you can expect in return.
Where to Trade Pikachu for Heracross
One of the first trades you can make is with a woman in the northern part of Lumiose, near Rogue Street. Head to the Pokémon Center on Rogue Street and go east into the hallway where shops are located. You’ll find her inside this area. She will offer her Heracross in exchange for your Pikachu. The Heracross is level 12 with a brave nature.

Enter the Passage du Palais shopping mall, and speak with Tracie, the woman there. She’ll propose a trade: her Heracross for your Pikachu.
Where to Trade Abra for Riolu
Another trade is located just north of the center of the map, above Rogue Sector 2 in Académie Étoile, just past Restaurant Le Wow. Inside the courtyard, find a young student named Bond with a white beanie. He will trade you his Riolu at level 25 with a Rash nature, making it a valuable Fighting-type Pokémon for your team.
Location Details:
Go inside the courtyard and look to the left. Bond, the young student, will trade his Riolu for your Abra.
Where to Trade Slowpoke for Galarian Slowpoke
The third trade can be found on South Boulevard in the southern part of Lumiose City, near Wild Zone Ten. Fast travel to Wild Zone Ten, then walk south until you meet a trainer named Quille. He’s wearing a grey sweater and backpack and will trade you a Galarian Slowpoke at level 30 with a Hasty nature in exchange for a regular Kantonian Slowpoke. Since normal Slowpoke are common in Lumiose, this is an easy trade to make quickly.
Location Details:
Head to Wild Zone Ten, then go south until you find Quille near Wild Zone Ten. Make sure you have a Slowpoke ready for trade.
Where to Trade Raichu for Alolan Raichu
Outside Quasartico Inc., there’s a final in-game trade with a character named Griddella. She offers to trade her Level 64 Alolan Raichu for your Kantonian Raichu. However, you must first defeat her Raichu in a battle to prove your strength before the trade occurs. This opportunity appears later in the game, so don’t rush to find her.
Location Details:
Once available, she will approach you to trade. Be prepared to battle her Raichu first.
