The Fortnite Fortnitemares 2025 event started on October 9 this year, bringing back the spooky Halloween celebrations across the game and the entire island. The main map now has a haunted look, with new areas like Creepy Camps, Viney Shafts, Gourdy Gate, Freaky Fields, and Pumpkin Pass. Additionally, there’s a new Reload map called Nitemare Island, which is now part of the rotation. The horde mode returns as Demon Rush, featuring the K-Pop Demon Hunters.
During this event, players can find a variety of Halloween-themed skins, including characters like Scooby Doo and the gang, Ghost Face from Scream, and Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th. There are also some gameplay twists, such as Ghost Face being able to call and reveal other players on the map. Here’s what we know so far about the Fortnite Fortnitemares 2025 event.
What is the Fortnitemares event?
The Fortnitemares event lasts a little over three weeks and adds limited-time quests and rewards with a Halloween theme. New weapons, enemies, locations, and NPCs have been added to the map, many of which are part of the quests. Completing these quests requires players to find all the new elements. A special guest within the event is Doja Cat, who appears as the Mother of Thorns NPC that players must fight and defeat. Other familiar characters include Scooby Doo and friends, The Grabber from Black Phone, Huggy Wuggy from Poppy Playtime, and more.
Fortnitemares quests and rewards
The event brings back the quest system, offering plenty of XP for completing spooky tasks. There are also challenges specific to Demon Rush mode and bonus goals for earning account levels, with rewards like skins, emotes, and other cosmetics. Some of the rewards and tasks include:
- Earning account levels to unlock items like the Butcher’s Tools back bling, Art The Hack spray, the Grind House loading screen, and more.
- Helping the Mystery Inc. gang by completing their quests and hiring Scooby Doo.
- Performing tricks such as calling players, defeating specific enemies like the Mother of Thorns, or smashing pumpkin chests.
- Earning treats like Scooby Snacks for health, pumpkin carving, and visiting Pumpkin Takeovers.
When does the event end?
The Fortnitemares event will run until November 1 at 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time. When it concludes, all quests and rewards associated with the event will end, coinciding with the end of Fortnite Season 4. This means that any rewards related to the event not earned by that time will be missed, so players are encouraged to participate before the deadline.
