Midas has made his comeback in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2, and players can assist him by completing various quests. To gain Midas’s trust and offer him your help, there are several tasks you’ll need to tackle. Although this process can be somewhat time-consuming, you’ll find that once you’ve completed the initial quest, the remaining tasks will be much more manageable as he begins to trust you.

Before diving into this quest, it’s essential to obtain and upgrade an Outlaw Keycard, aiming to reach a rare keycard status. To achieve this, you’ll need to complete the first 10 Black Market quests to ensure your card is up to par. Completing these quests also provides you access to the Outlaw Chest, which is crucial for your mission. Once you have these items, you’re ready to start helping Midas in Fortnite.

How To Complete Stage 1 of the Outlaw Midas Quest

Earn Midas’s Trust by Attending a Shadow Briefing

This first step is the simplest to accomplish in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2. All you need to do is locate a Job Board and attend a Shadow Briefing. You can find any job board in locations like an Armory, Supply Drop, or Treasure Job Board, and interacting with these locations will count towards completing this initial task.

Everything flows just as you might expect, but Midas still requires more from you before he’ll fully trust you. If you possess an Outlaw Keycard, you can proceed further; however, if not, you will need to level up your keycard first.

How To Complete Stage 2 of the Outlaw Midas Quest

Spend Bars in the Black Market to Gain the Outlaw’s Trust

At this stage in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2, you must spend a total of 1,000 Gold Bars specifically at the Black Market. You can use these bars on any items, but you need to ensure your total expense reaches that required amount. While it may sound like a lot, if you’ve been playing for a while, you likely have enough bars saved up. Since your bar total resets each season, it might be wise to spend some for this quest.

One way to accumulate Gold Bars is by searching through a lot of chests, especially in locations like Lonewolf’s Lair.

After you’ve spent the 1,000 Gold Bars, you’ll need a rare Outlaw Keycard to proceed further. This means you’ll need to finish at least 10 quests related to the Black Market. Be sure to complete as many quests as you can, but raiding the vault at Outlaw Oasis will quickly help you finish at least one quest.

How To Complete Stage 3 of the Outlaw Midas Quest

Use Your Rare or Higher Outlaw Keycard to Unlock the Outlaw Chest

Once you have a rare or better Outlaw Keycard in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2, you can complete this part of the quest. Head to the Black Market again and approach the Outlaw case. You can unlock the Outlaw case simply by possessing the rare keycard, but you must be the first player there, so make this your priority after landing at one of Fortnite‘s prime spots.

After unlocking the chest, you’ve successfully completed this stage, which is relatively straightforward. It seems the game developers have plans for the future, and they want you to familiarize yourself with leveling up your Outlaw Keycard, and who better to guide you than Midas, one of the game’s most notorious characters?

You’ll notice the quests from this point forward are significantly easier than the initial ones because you’ve already fulfilled several prerequisites to get here. If you began this mission with a rare Outlaw Keycard and at least 1,000 Gold Bars, the subsequent quests should pose little challenge.

How To Complete Stage 4 of the Outlaw Midas Quest

Use a Sensor Backpack to Scan Mysterious Energy Signatures

In this stage, you need to find the Sensor Backpack in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2. You can locate it near the right side of Predator Peak, between Canyon Crossing and Crime City. Once you’re in close proximity, look for an exclamation point on your minimap indicating the backpack’s location. Follow this map marker to find:

The first signal near Predator Peak.
The second signal on the left side of Predator Peak.
The final signal in front of Predator Peak.

Once you have the backpack equipped, a new short-term quest will appear, prompting you to walk around the area. This is quite easy since the locations will be marked on your minimap after acquiring the backpack. You’re essentially just tracing your steps to each exclamation point noted above.

How To Complete Stage 5 of the Outlaw Midas Quest

Steal a Copy of the Mask-Making Book

Retrieving the Mask-Making Book is fairly simple, provided you know where to look in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2. Just make your way to the masked maker’s hideout in Masked Meadows. Enter Masked Meadows and locate the nearest porta-potty; it will transport you to your destination.

To avoid confrontations with other players, approach Masked Meadows from behind the mansion rather than the center of town.

When you exit the porta-potty, turn right and proceed until you reach the first opening. From there, take a left and follow the path until you find the room with the stairs. The Mask-Making Book will be on the ground waiting for you.

How To Complete Stage 6 of the Outlaw Midas Quest

Locate Midas One Final Time

This final quest step is the easiest within the Outlaw Midas storyline in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2. All you have to do is head north of Masked Meadows to the Black Market. There, you’ll find the only building in the Black Market area highlighted on your map. Simply enter and navigate down the ramp to access the room.

Once inside, continue deeper until prompted for your keycard. Proceed down the stairs, and you’ll find Midas waiting for you in the center of the room. Speak with him to wrap up the Outlaw Midas questline in Fortnite.
