Today’s Connections Category Hints
February 15 #615
Today’s puzzle proved to be quite challenging, though I eventually pieced it together. I encountered a curious mix of words; some were misleadingly tricky and didn’t group together as I expected. Reflecting on them now, the connections seem simpler than they felt at the moment.
- One category consists of various ways to express a fountain of words.
- Another category deals with words you might encounter while typing.
- A third category includes words that are typically shorter than they appear here.
- The final category features four words that come before a specific term found in a bakery.
Today’s challenge kept me on my toes, but I managed to work through it with a little perseverance. Some words seemed like they should belong together but didn’t—and that added to the complexity for me.
If you’re eager for additional clues, I’ve shared category names below, along with some hints you might find helpful.
Today’s Connections Answers
February 15 #615
Now, let’s dive into the answers from today’s puzzle.
Yellow Category:
- DIVULGE
- BLAB
- DISH
- SPILL
- TELL
I spotted this category fairly quickly, although DISH was a bit tricky since it could also tie with PAN and CUP. Thankfully, I avoided that trap after reconsidering and rereading all of the words.
Green Category:
- WORDS ON A MAC KEYBOARD
- COMMAND
- CONTROL
- OPTION
- RETURN
During my attempts with this category, I initially tried to force OPTION and RETURN with others but couldn’t find anything that worked. However, once I let that go and looked back, COMMAND and CONTROL clicked, which made it easier to complete this set.
Blue Category:
- WORDS SHORTENED IN ROCK GENRES
- ALTERNATIVE
- EMOTIONAL
- POPULAR
- PROGRESSIVE
Trial and error played a big role in determining this category. Initially, I felt uncertain about how to group these words until I ultimately guessed based on their relationships.
Purple Category:
- ___CAKE
- CHEESE
- CUP
- PAN
- SHORT
SHORT was surprisingly difficult for me to incorporate, but I quickly identified PAN and CUP. Cheesecake is a personal favorite of mine, so I’m looking forward to treating myself to a slice soon!
