Building and crafting are essential parts of surviving in Grounded 2. As you defend yourself against the bugs in Brookhollow Park, it’s smart to gather enough Silk Ropes for your crafting projects. Having a good supply of Silk Ropes on hand will save you time and effort later.
To make Silk Rope, you’ll need to collect certain materials. The area outside the Ominent Onboarding Facility in Snackbar Front has everything you’ll need nearby.
What do you need to make Silk Rope?
The first step is to craft a Wheel Spinner, a device that quickly turns Web Fiber into Silk Rope.
You can also use the Wheel Spinner to make Crude Rope from Plant Fiber.
Materials needed to craft a Wheel Spinner:
- 4 Red Ant Parts
- 4 Crude Ropes
- 4 Clay
- 3 Sap
- 2 Acorn Tops
Once you’ve built the Wheel Spinner, start harvesting Web Fiber. This fiber can be found on spider webs around the yard, and you can locate them using the Resource Finder map tool.
How to gather Web Fiber:
- Hunt and defeat spiders in Brookhollow Park.
- Attack stray webs or destroy Web Sacs near spider nests.
Warning: Destroying a Web Sac will summon a Spiderling and draw other spiders’ attention, so be ready to defend yourself. It’s advisable to wear anti-Venom armor and use mutations or smoothies when hunting spiders to increase your chances of survival against Wolf Spiders.
How to make Silk Rope quickly:
After crafting your Wheel Spinner and collecting Web Fiber, return to your base. Activate the Spinner, select the Silk Rope option, and it will start converting your Web Fiber into Silk Rope automatically.
You can also find Web Fiber stored in nearby chests, so you don’t have to carry all of it in your backpack.
Maximizing Silk Rope production:
To gather Silk Rope efficiently, craft multiple Wheel Spinners and fill each to capacity. Each Spinner makes six Silk Ropes at a time. For example, using three Spinners can produce 18 Silk Ropes in a short period.
