If you’ve looked through the scrapyards in Arc Raiders, you might have noticed that Fried Motherboards are pretty rare. They tend to show up right after you’ve needed them most or vanish just when you’re about to grab one.
Finding these motherboards can feel like chasing a glitch in the game. The good news is that they spawn in predictable spots—you just need to know where to look. If you want to farm more efficiently instead of relying on luck, here’s what you need to know to get more Fried Motherboards.
### How To Farm Fried Motherboards
Fried Motherboards are a rare item in Arc Raiders. You need them to upgrade your Utility Station. When you recycle a motherboard, it breaks down into two Electrical Components and five Plastic Parts. Since they can be used in different crafting recipes, it’s important to know where they are most likely to appear.
The best places to find Fried Motherboards are in Technological zones on any map. These areas are marked on your map with a small wrench icon. They usually have machinery, server racks, and other high-tech debris. These features increase the chances of finding Fried Motherboards when you loot containers. Although they can appear in other regions, certain spots are much more reliable.
One of the most consistent locations is a small building on the Dam Battlegrounds map, just east of Water Treatment Control. It’s easy to overlook, but inside, you’ll find six server cabinets lining the walls. Each cabinet has a chance to drop a Fried Motherboard. Visiting this location repeatedly is one of the quickest ways to farm them.
Clear out the Raiders from the area, open every server cabinet you come across, and you’ll usually collect enough motherboards to keep your Utility Station upgraded.
