How to Initiate Past Expiration in Fallout 76?

This mission unlocks after you finish Daguerre’s previous companion task, Boot Camp. Once Past Expiration commences in Fallout 76, you will need to have a conversation with her. She’ll inquire if you’re on board with her plans.

Select the first option that confirms your support, and she will request that you call her Sofia.

The following options you’ll need to choose are: “I’ll find this serum, won’t take long” and “I’ll be back later, Sofia.” You can opt for other responses to gauge her reactions, but these will not progress the dialogue.

Where to Locate Serum Z in Fallout 76?

Open your map and fast travel to the National Radio Astronomy Research Center. Once you arrive, make your way to the facility marked with the Retrieve Serum Z objective.

Upon arrival, you’ll encounter several hostile foes attacking you. Try to lure them outside the facility and eliminate them one at a time.

Prioritize taking down ranged enemies first, as they can be quite troublesome. Once you’ve cleared the area, approach the door of the West Tex Research Center and enter the facility.

Proceed straight ahead to the terminal and unlock the door to the right using it. Inside, you’ll face several Super Mutant Masters.

Continue onward, battling any enemies you come across. Eventually, you’ll enter a kitchen-like room filled with cabinets and counters.

One of the cabinets will contain Serum Z. Collect it and leave. Return to Sofia with the Serum Z and interact with her to finish the conversation, thereby completing the mission.
