What Are The Ruins Of Wyveria?
As the name implies, the Ruins of Wyveria are what remains of a once-thriving city known as Wyveria. This ancient city housed a society that exhibited advanced technology far surpassing anything previously seen in the Monster Hunter series. It has long been theorized that the series is set in a post-apocalyptic world, and Wyveria provides confirmation of this for the first time.
The inhabitants of Wyveria found a method to create their own artificial monsters, which they referred to as Guardians, using them for protection from various threats.
At the heart of Wyveria lies the Dragontorch, a powerful artifact that supports the ecosystems of the Forbidden Lands. The people of Wyveria developed an ultimate weapon called Zoh Shia to safeguard the Dragontorch and maintain stability in the region.
What Can You Do In The Ruins Of Wyveria?
Within the Ruins of Wyveria, players encounter the Guardians—artificial monsters that are linked to Wyveria’s energy source, known as wylk. These Guardians not only possess the attributes of the beasts they mimic but also feature exclusive powers that set them apart.
All Guardians have the ability to generate energy explosions from the ground and regenerate by absorbing energy. Their connection with wylk often results in the creation of crystal structures that can be detonated using various items and elemental attacks, allowing players to turn the Guardians’ powers against them. Notably, players can collect special materials from the Guardians, which are crucial for crafting powerful weapons and armor at the Smithy.
The Ruins of Wyveria feature many of the same amenities found in other regions of Monster Hunter Wilds, including helpers for hunting, item trading, and gathering materials. However, the main draw lies in the unique Guardian monsters, which provide a source of valuable materials.
