When visiting the bazaar every Saturday in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, you’ll often see stalls selling items like upgrades and new techniques in exchange for gold. However, some stalls don’t require gold but instead ask for specific items.
One such stall is called Prize Palooza, operated by a random NPC named Rich. At this stall, you can exchange various medals earned throughout your gameplay for different prizes. Here’s everything you should know about it.
How to Unlock the Prize Palooza Stall
You must make significant progress in the game to unlock Prize Palooza. Start by reaching the fifth rank in the bazaar by consistently selling items and getting new stalls, which is called the Regional Bazaar.
Once you reach this rank, a cutscene will trigger on Sunday. Afterward, you’ll be given multiple requests, including one from Rich. To unlock his stall, you’ll need to give him 50 normal medals, five Ultimate Lumber, and five Ultimate Stones. Once completed, you can find Rich’s stall in the upper left area of the bazaar.
Note: If it’s raining on the day you receive the new requests, you can find Rich at the hotel instead.
Achieving this takes some effort because medals are tough to gather. Additionally, creating the Ultimate versions of Lumber and Stones requires 125 normal wood and rocks each.
How to Get Medals
The main way to earn medals is by digging in dirt spots on the ground. Use your Hoe on these spots to receive a random medal. Some spots, like the one behind the blue windmill, can even give multiple medals at once.
Sometimes, you can also find medals by hoeing on your fields, but this is less common. Several in-game titles, which are earned by reaching certain milestones in activities, can reward you with medals as well.
You can also upgrade medals to higher quality levels using the blue windmill with Purple Wonderstone. To do this, you’ll need copper, silver, or gold ore along with a lower-rarity medal.
Tip: Since you can upgrade medals, it’s not recommended to use only Silver or Bronze medals for the lottery, as you can improve them later.
Medals can also be sold for a good price in your bazaar if you’re not interested in using them for the Prize Palooza lottery.
