Exploring Fortnite’s Black Markets: Locations and Usage Tips

Fortnite has recently introduced Black Markets, which are exciting new features in the battle royale game. These markets allow players to obtain rare weapons and useful items—but you’ll need the right currency to make your purchases! In Season 2 of Fortnite, Gold Bars are easier to find, but the high prices in the Black Markets mean you won’t get any cheap deals. Some of the rarest items can only be acquired using Dill Bits, which you can get by successfully raiding a vault. Here’s a guide on how to locate and utilize Black Markets in Fortnite.

Finding the Fortnite Black Markets

There are three Black Markets in Fortnite, which you can find at the locations shown on the map above. These markets are hidden underground, so once you reach their locations, you’ll need to go down to access them. At Backwoods, look for the stairs inside the pagoda. At Boom Hole, you should find one of two gates in the rock face that have a grind rail behind them. For Rouge Repairs, go down the stairs in the garage.

How to Use Black Markets in Fortnite

Inside a Black Market, you can check out various cases to see what weapons and items are available for purchase. Prices differ greatly based on the rarity of the items; for example, you might buy some Thermite for only 50 Gold Bars, while an Epic Plasma Burst Rifle costs 600! There are specific items that can only be acquired with a Dill Bit, which you get by raiding a vault. While you can gather Gold Bars over several matches, Dill Bits are only useful for the match in which you find them. So, if you manage to grab some, head straight to the nearest Black Market to spend them!

Here’s a summary of the weapons and items you might find at each Black Market location:
