Exotic Weapons in Destiny 2: Edge of Fate
Currently, we’re aware of three new Exotic weapons set to debut in *Edge of Fate*, all of which have the potential to rank among the best in *Destiny 2*.
It’s likely that Bungie has a few surprises up their sleeve— keep an eye out for a new Raid Exotic, for instance.
New Land Beyond Sniper Rifle
If you pre-ordered the *Edge of Fate Year of Prophecy Ultimate Edition*, you may already have access to this weapon. It’s a clever nod to the classic *Destiny 1* Exotic, No Land Beyond.
Its unique perks include The Master, which increases damage after precision hits, and Bullseye Bolster, which enhances target acquisition, handling, reload speed, and stability.
In short, keep landing those critical hits, and you’ll be in good shape.
Graviton Spike Hand Cannon
This stylish Hand Cannon is Arc-based and features an alternate firing mode. It can shoot rapid Arc rounds but can also switch to Stasis rounds.
Each mode has unique abilities. Get kills while in Arc mode to charge the Stasis option, causing enemy explosions and creating Stasis Crystals. Alternatively, use the Stasis mode to charge Arc ammo and summon lightning storms.
The Graviton Spike will be obtainable through an Exotic Quest in the *Edge of Fate* expansion, though further details are still a mystery.
Third Iteration Scout Rifle
This Scout Rifle is a unique addition, breaking new ground after a decade of content. Its intrinsic perk, ‘Tri-Planar Mass Driver’, fires Void energy projectiles, and aiming down sights will narrow its spread.
The additional perk, Amalgamation Rounds, allows players to aim down sights and charge a larger Void projectile. This marked projectile deals extra damage and grants invisibility and truesight upon defeating the target. It pairs exceptionally well with Void Hunters.
You’ll earn this weapon through the Season Pass that launches simultaneously with the *Edge of Fate* expansion.
Exotic Armor in Destiny 2: Edge of Fate
Each class will receive one piece of Exotic Armor in *Edge of Fate*, each with its own unique strengths. While details about additional pieces remain unclear, they might be linked to campaign completion or Novel Focusing.
Regardless, it’s wise to familiarize yourself with how to acquire new Exotic armor in Destiny 2.
Euonia – Warlock Gauntlets
As a Warlock player, I typically equip a Hellion to help with crowd control, and the Euonia gauntlets enhance this ability.
When equipped, Hellion projectiles will split into smaller projectiles that deal increased damage based on distance traveled. Bungie has showcased this feature in various previews, and it looks visually impressive.
Menas Panoplia Titan Gauntlets
These gauntlets, recently featured in live streams, possess the ‘Forge Master’ perk, allowing players to summon their flaming Sunbreaker hammer back into their hands.
To activate this perk, players must secure Solar final blows or gather Firesprites. The hammer can then be thrown, and better timing on the return will trigger a ‘forge slag’ explosion—how cool is that?
Moirai – Hunter Chest
This chest piece isn’t just about Solar abilities; it also emphasizes the Strand subclass, especially the Threaded Spike and its interaction with battlefield Tangles.
The chest’s Webcatcher perk allows your Threaded Spike to bounce off Tangles, detonating them and generating another when it returns. As noted by PCGamer, this could work seamlessly with the Whirling Maelstrom Aspect, potentially creating dual Maelstroms to sweep away enemies.
