Berries in Pokémon Legends: Z-A are like nature’s quick fixes. These small, colorful fruits can heal burns, thaw frozen Pokémon, or boost their mood after a tough battle. If you’re trying to increase your Pokémon’s friendship or stop paralysis during a fight, there’s a berry for that. Some berries even reduce damage taken from moves that are super effective, acting as both a snack and a shield.
If you like collecting shiny fruits just in case, this guide is for you. It covers every berry in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, what each one does, and how to find more before your next major battle.

How to Get and Use Berries
To use a berry, open the menu by pressing the ‘X’ button, then select ‘Satchel’. Go to the ‘Berries’ tab, and choose ‘Use this item’ or ‘Give to Pokémon’ on one of your Pokémon.
You can find berries mainly in two ways:
– Walk over shiny, yellow sparkling spots around the city to collect random berries.
– Visit Berry Stalls scattered throughout the city to buy specific berries quickly.
What Are the Best Berries?
The best berries often depend on your situation, but certain ones are worth stocking up on:
– Sitrus Berry: The primary healing berry, restores a small amount of HP during battle and can save Pokémon from fainting.
– Lum Berry: Instantly cures any status condition like paralysis, sleep, or burns.
– Type-reducing berries such as Rindo (for Grass moves) or Haban (for Dragon moves) can be invaluable in tough matchups, offering a clutch moment of survival.
