Crimson Desert is filled with puzzles of all difficulty levels, and players are likely to get stuck more than once as they explore the large open world. One puzzle that might seem harder than it really is is the Sanctum of Benediction.
This Sanctum is one of four that need to be cleaned as part of the “Witch of Wisdom” quest, which is connected to the Witches faction in Crimson Desert. When you first reach each Sanctum, you’ll have to defeat the enemies around the area. After clearing out the enemies, you will need to solve a special puzzle at each location to cleanse the Sanctum and be able to talk to the Witch.
The Sanctum of Benediction is located in western Hernand, just south of the letter “E” in Hernand. It’s one of the four Sanctums you need to complete the “Witch of Wisdom” quest line. Once you clear out the enemies, your next step is to assemble the apparatus inside to cleanse the Sanctum and talk to the Witch.
To finish the cleanse, you will need to find two stone pillar tops scattered around the Sanctum. The first one is fairly easy to grab. Use Axiom Force to bring it over to the pillar, place it on top, then climb up and use Aerial Force Palm to push it into place.
The second pillar top is a bit trickier. It’s located inside a tall, closed-off building in the center of the area. If you’re having trouble getting inside, just light the lantern next to the main entrance—that will open the door. Once inside, retrieve the second stone piece, place it on the incomplete pillar, and use Force Palm again to lock it into place. This action will officially cleanse the Sanctum, allowing you to talk to the Witch and complete that part of the quest.
While this isn’t the most complex puzzle in Crimson Desert, it’s one of the first that might trip players up because lighting a lantern isn’t something players have needed to do in earlier puzzles.
