One of the newest gacha games to arrive on console eShops is Arknights: Endfield. Just two months after its launch, the game received its first major update. Version 1.1 was released on March 11, 2026, bringing a lot of new features and improvements.
Along with polishing the original content, the update introduces new areas, such as the Qingbo Stockade, expanding the game map for players to explore. There are also two new operator banners, several new weapons and gear, and much more.
The Story Expands
New main, exploration, and side missions have been added. If you thought you had finished Arknights: Endfield’s story, think again—the world keeps growing in this update. The focus is on the new region of Wuling, specifically the Qingbo Stockade, which players will help restore by repairing the waterwheel and clearing the area. Along the way, you’ll discover more Aurylene and chests to collect, boosting your authority and upgrading your operators.
The update features one new main story mission that takes you into Qingbo, two exploration missions to help you explore the region, and six side missions to keep you busy after settling in.
Banners and Operator Additions
New characters are coming through two operator banners, giving players a chance to obtain six-star operators. The first is Tangtang, a Cryo handcannon user from Wuling, who provides support and solid damage potential based on how she’s built. The second is Rossi, a swordswoman introduced in Valley IV, who is expected to serve as a damage dealer. Players may have a chance to pull Tangtang on the Chartered Headhunting banner during this update, and Rossi can be obtained through the same banner or during a specific event.
A New World to Discover
The update introduces the Qingbo Stockade, a new area in Wuling. Having already explored regions like Jingyu Valley and Wuling City, players will find Qingbo a natural next step. The area involves fixing the waterwheel, solving puzzles, and uncovering resources to level up and upgrade their operators. As you progress, more enemies and challenges, especially wind-themed foes, will test your skills and weapons.
New Weapons and Enemies
Two new weapons are added for the new operators, including Tangtang’s signature handcannon, “Brigand’s Calling,” and Rossi’s sword, “Lupine Scarlet.” These weapons can be used in battle against the new enemies introduced in the region. More than half a dozen wind-themed enemies will appear, providing fresh challenges to test your strategies and new gear.
Beginner’s Resources and Events
A new beginner’s package has been introduced to help new players get started. Completing early story goals rewards players with Chartered Headhunting Permits, making it easier to understand gameplay and master the basics. For returning players, if all the prerequisites are already done, the rewards can be claimed immediately after the update.
Limited-time events will also be active. During the first week of each new banner, players can earn free Headhunting Permits. The Qingbo Stockade update will feature a sign-in event offering charm permits, T-Creds, and other rewards. Additional exploration benefits, event challenges, and time-limited reductions in sanity costs will be available during the update.
Upgrades for Your AIC
Players who have already set up their Wuling AIC will be pleased to know that the update enables upgrades to the system. New recipes utilizing Qingbo Stockade ingredients, new blueprints, and machinery will enhance automation and operations. You’ll be able to gather Cuprium Ore more efficiently, access water treatment and refining systems, and unlock new supplies that improve your efficiency and strategic options.
Quality of Life Improvements
Version 1.1 also includes multiple small but impactful upgrades. You can now see how many items are available for harvest at each rare deposit, making resource farming easier. Extra gear sets have been added to assemble and bonus-activate non-set gear pieces. An additional teleport point has been added in Wuling City for quicker access to Qingbo Stockade. A minimap appears when using ziplines, helping you navigate complex areas more easily.
Construct facilities anywhere, rather than returning to your Core area, speeding up your building processes. Also, story skipping has been improved, allowing faster progression when you want to skip cutscenes and dialogue.
Overall, version 1.1 brings a wealth of new content, improvements, and quality of life features that significantly enhance the game experience.
