The release times for Elden Ring’s Nightreign Forsaken Hollows update can be a bit confusing because they vary depending on your platform and location. For console players, it’s pretty straightforward— the update goes live at midnight local time on December 4, except in the Americas, where it becomes available at midnight Eastern Standard Time. That means players on the West Coast in the Pacific Time Zone can start playing at 9 PM on December 3, while in Brazil’s BRT timezone, it’s 2 AM on December 4.
Steam players will get a simultaneous release, so you’ll need to figure out what time 8 AM Japan Standard Time on December 4 is in your area. Additionally, pre-loading the update doesn’t seem to be an option for now, so the listed release times are when the update will be available on the storefronts. You might also have to manually download the update, as explained on the official page.
For Xbox users, some try changing the console’s clock to New Zealand Time to access the update early when it hits the store at midnight there. While it might work for some, it’s not a guaranteed method.
As for PC players, the update drops on Steam at 8 AM Japan Standard Time on December 4. That’s 11 PM UTC on December 3. Here are some other time conversions:
– Pacific Time: December 3 at 3 PM
– Eastern Time: December 3 at 6 PM
– UK: December 3 at 11 PM
– Central Europe: December 4 at midnight
– Australia: December 4 at 10 AM AEDT
Once you’ve downloaded and installed the update, you’ll be able to explore the new content, including the Nightreign characters like the Elden Ring Nightreign Scholar. For helpful tips on facing the challenges ahead, check out our guides.
