Three years have passed since Elden Ring was released, but there may still be secrets that players haven’t uncovered. It’s likely that the developers have hidden some surprises in The Lands Between or the new Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
Interestingly, some players are just now noticing details in the game’s cover art. This artwork is visible even before you create your character or start the game. On the cover of Elden Ring, there’s more to see than just the main character.
Vyke Isn’t The Only Tarnished On The Elden Ring Cover
You can probably picture the Elden Ring cover art: Vyke is kneeling with a sword in the ground, the Elden Ring above him, and a barren landscape surrounding them. However, many missed the fact that there are several bodies nearby, and they aren’t just random foes.
According to Nasz316, the three bodies on the ground belong to Ensha, Jerren, and Dung Eater, who are also Tarnished players you meet in the game. Some think one of the bodies may actually belong to Vargram instead of Dung Eater.
Many comments from players express shock at noticing these bodies for the first time. One user said, “Is it bad to say this is the first time I even noticed there were other bodies in this art? I swear I only ever saw Vyke.” Another commented, “I never looked closely enough at this piece to realize they aren’t just rocks.” One even admitted, “Is it bad that I didn’t even know it was Vyke? I guess I never really took a good look at the cover art after the first time back when Elden Ring came out.”
However, these dead Tarnished figures are not just for fun—there may be deeper lore implications. The presence of Ensha, Jerren, and Dung Eater could signify the devastation that Frenzy brings.
