Clearing the Path & Dealing with the Blight
Upon entering this new area, be prepared to face a swarm of Darkspawn. There’s another section of Blight you can eliminate before approaching the original Darkspawn ghoul. This will lead you directly to the Blight-Blocked Bridge, where you need to devise a plan to advance. Additionally, there’s a concealed treasure chest nearby that may contain valuable loot.
To begin, launch a long-range attack at the red Blight spot located on the left wall near the blockage. This first task is straightforward. Next, sprint across the bridge as far as you can; there will be a Power Crystal on your right that you should collect. The bridge will subsequently vanish, which is actually beneficial as it reveals hidden elements.
The red Blight spot you need to focus on is located underneath the bridge. Use your ranged weapon to hit it, breaking through another section of the Blight that’s obstructing your path. Once you do this, the remaining Blight will turn red, allowing you to tackle what’s left and proceed to the next area.
You don’t have to grab the Power Crystal to locate the spot under the bridge. If you position yourself to the right and look downward, you can easily identify and shoot the Blight with another long-range attack. While it may be easier to remove the Power Crystal first, other strategies are available.
Nonetheless, it’s advisable to take the Power Crystal with you as you continue. You’ll need it to unblock the following area. Bring it into the gate room and place the Power Crystal in the designated slot. This will activate the gate and allow you to continue your quest normally.
As you move into the next zone, expect to encounter the Darkspawn Ghoul. You’ll also face a few more Beam Generator puzzles before you finally acquire the dagger. After defeating a new wave of enemies and claiming the Lyrium Dagger, you’ll have the opportunity to speak to Harding. There are various choices to make in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, particularly towards the quest’s conclusion.
