The Leap Year Society in Unknown 9: Awakening used to have a strong presence, but it has dwindled over time. Once filled with enthusiastic members dedicated to exploring the mysteries of the arcane, the society now faces significant challenges. Many members appear to be deceased, have defected, or have simply vanished.

Like many clandestine groups, they possess symbols to identify their members or leave hints for others. In this case, it’s the Leap Year Coins. It’s possible that every member carries one, but their exact significance remains unclear. However, picking them up certainly won’t hurt.

Locations of Every Leap Year Society Coin

You’ll find a total of 24 Leap Year Society Coins scattered throughout the game. Much like other collectibles, they are often tucked away in inconspicuous spots or sometimes found on long-dead skeletons.

You’ll have better luck finding the Leap Year Society Coins in chapters that feature ruins and Sahin structures.

Due to their small size, these coins can easily go unnoticed. To aid in your search, you should consider investing in the Umbric Resonance skill from the Stealth skill tree, as it highlights nearby collectibles with a bright glow.

Coin 1	Richat Structure	Pass through the large ring ruins with Reika, then stop at a large crate beside an explosive near a campsite. The coin is on top of the crate, next to a smaller wooden box.
Coin 2	Chamiri	Cross the locked gate into an area with a road and several buildings. The coin is on the back edge of a stone planter by the red building.
Coin 3	Suknasari Forest	After descending down the flowering vines and breaking through a tree, jump across to the left and follow the path. The coin lies on a rock beside a skeleton.
Coin 4	The Morning Star I	From the bridge, go up the stairs to the lounge area, and check the table in the upper left corner near the open doors. The coin rests on a table in the corner booth, near some bottles.
Coin 5	The Morning Star I	Head from the bridge up to the lounge area, through the large doors across the walkway to the crew quarters. The coin is on a brown chest in the first room on the left, near the bed.
Coin 6	Chamatkari Mandir	After defeating all the Ascendants at the entrance of the temple, enter the tent in the upper right corner. The coin is on a table with several radios near the entrance.
Coin 7	The Morning Star II	Follow Buchra to Vincent’s office; the coin is located on a small round table on the right side of the room.
Coin 8	Quinta Matos	On the second floor of the manor, go around the corner into the first room near the Rusher, then into the bathroom. The coin can be found on the dresser to the left of the bathtub.
Coin 9	Quinta Matos	Follow Luther down the stairs, then stop short of the heavy red door, and go up the stairs to the gazebo. The coin lies on the base of the statue at the top.
Coin 10	Quinta Matos	Clear the Ascendants from the graveyard, follow Luther through the locked gate, and down the giant staircase to the bottom. The coin is on the table by a lit lamp there.
Coin 11	Anatolia	In the first area with Anti-Stepping Devices, sneak around to the left side and over to the first generator. The coin is on a large wire spool next to it.
Coin 12	Anatolia	After Luther lowers the drawbridge, cross it and climb up the ridge to your right. The coin is in an indentation in the wall on the right side of the room.
Coin 13	Anatolia	Defeat the Ascendants in the area where Luther initiates a fight, then proceed up the ridge beneath the wooden structure. The coin is at the end of the tunnel near an opening to another section.
Coin 14	Anatolia	After helping Luther in battle, approach the heavy red door and open it with assistance. Once through, the coin can be found in an indentation in the wall to your right.
Coin 15	Anatolia	Once through the crack in the wall with Luther, head left and climb the ridge close to several pillars. The coin rests on a raised area in the corner near an Artifact and three vases.
Coin 16	Anatolia	Enter the area where the Ascendants are located, then sneak through the grass to the open window directly across from you. Hop inside, and you’ll find the coin on the stone shelf near several loose papers.
Coin 17	Anatolia	Proceed through a rectangular doorway surrounded by rubble, and follow the path to a large room with a stone slab at its center. The coin can be found at the edge of the slab beside a Sahin Tile.
Coin 18	Anatolia	Clear the rocks so you and Luther can pass through, then jump over the low ridge in front of you and approach the crack in the wall. The coin is in a dirt pile to its left.
Coin 19	Dasuden	Follow Buchra into the cave’s descent to the left. Jump across the gap and crawl under the rocks until you find a skeleton against the wall. The coin lies within its boot.
Coin 20	Dasuden	At the bridge operation panel with Buchra, defeat all the Ascendants after they spawn. Once they’re gone, enter the newly unlocked room near the stairs, where the coin is on the table beside a smaller radio.
Coin 21	Dasuden	After saving Buchra, continue forward, take down the Gearhead, then scale the rock wall. Pass through the crack in the wall, and the coin awaits atop a stack of crates to your left.
Coin 22	Peshanden	After clearing the area behind the second multi-lock Sahin door with Buchra, make your way through the railroad tracks on the left. Turn the corner, and the coin is on a table next to several barrels.
Coin 23	Peshanden	Once you’ve defeated the Gearhead and fallen down, turn around and go through the doorway behind you to find the coin lying on the room’s left side.
Coin 24	Peshanden	Drop into the cave filled with Ascendants and massive pipes above you, go to the left past the building with a control panel, and follow the railroad tracks to the tunnel’s end, where the coin rests on the floor next to three stacked crates.
