If you’re looking to tackle the daily Shoot Animals Photography challenge from the LS Tourist Board in GTA Online, knowing where to find animals is crucial. Each day, they task players with locating and photographing three randomly chosen animals, which helps you check off items on your list. This challenge is a simplified version of the Wildlife Photography Challenge found in the single-player mode of GTA V. Completing these photography tasks can earn you cash rewards, and if you photograph at least one animal, you’ll unlock the Declasse Park Ranger vehicle for purchase from Warstock Cache & Carry. Additionally, if you submit all three photos from a daily set for the first time, you’ll unlock the Ace Ventura-inspired The Zoophilist outfit.
Animals debuted in Los Santos and Blaine County with the GTA Online Chop Shop update. Initially, they were available only for PS5 and Xbox Series X, but now PC players using the Enhanced edition can also participate in these challenges. GTA Online Animal Locations Map
I’ve had good luck finding animals at the highlighted locations above, but since animal spawn points are random, these are not guaranteed. Here are some other places you might find them:
- Boar
- Cat
- Chicken-Hawk
- Cow
- Coyote
- Crow
- Deer
- Great Cormorant
- Hen
- Mountain Lion
- Pig
- Poodle
- Pug
- Rabbit
- Seagull
These locations match the ones used in the single-player Wildlife Photography Challenge, although not all dog breeds are available to photograph online.
Generally, you’ll have better luck locating domesticated animals around the city or its suburbs, with dogs commonly found in backyards or being walked on the streets. When searching for wild animals, it’s best to maintain your distance and use your camera’s zoom feature to avoid scaring them away or provoking an attack. If you’re having difficulty spotting them, using a weapon with a thermal scope can help identify animals hidden in the underbrush. If you want to increase your chance of finding the right animal, try leaving the area and returning after some time.
Completing Shoot Animals Photography Assignments for the LS Tourist Board

Each day, the LS Tourist Board requests photos of three specific animals in GTA Online, and only these count towards the daily collectibles found in the Interaction Menu. To discover which animals you need to photograph, you can either visit the physical LS Tourist Board located in the northwest corner of your map or simply hover over the icon on the map and select the Contact option that appears. This will generate an email listing the three animals you need to capture.

Once you’ve found your target animal in GTA Online, quickly access the Snapmatic app on your phone by double-tapping up on the d-pad. Point it at the animal and take your shot. If you successfully capture the required creature, the option to Send to LS Tourist Board will become available, allowing you to submit your photo and mark that animal off your daily list.
Photography Rewards in GTA Online

For each animal photo you successfully submit to the LS Tourist Board, you’ll earn GTA$20,000 and 500 RP. If you submit all three photos from a daily set, you’ll also receive an extra GTA$40,000 bonus. After your first successful submission, you’ll unlock the Declasse Park Ranger for sale at Warstock Cache & Carry. After sending ten photos, you’ll be eligible for a discounted rate on it. Moreover, when you first submit all three photos in one day, you’ll unlock The Zoophilist outfit, inspired by Jim Carrey’s character in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. You can find this outfit in your wardrobe under Outfits > Outfits: Special options.
