Death Stranding 2 is one of the most visually impressive games out there. The graphics are breathtaking, and many screenshots look like real-life photos. However, one telltale sign you’re looking at a screenshot from Death Stranding 2 is the many ramps and generators in the background.
Since its release, players have raised some concerns about the game. Issues range from vehicle handling to grinding for five-star ratings. A major point of discussion is the increased presence of player-built structures this time. While this could enhance gameplay, it somewhat diminishes the feeling of solitude that many enjoyed in the first game.
Death Stranding 2 Players Are Calling For Filters To Remove Excessive Player Structures
A Reddit user called Mithmorthmin shared on the Death Stranding 2 subreddit (- thanks GamesRadar) an example showing just how cluttered player structures can get. They posted a photo featuring four player structures, a monorail, seven footprints, and two unattended vehicles in one small area. This can be overwhelming for players seeking a more isolated experience.
Mithmorthmin noted they have encountered even worse situations, prompting fans to call for options to limit what appears on screen. User FlibbertyGibberts0 suggested adding a Supply Request toggle in the next update, with others expressing that there are simply too many structures throughout the game.
There is an existing option to reduce the number of structures and signs from other players, but some want signs removed entirely. Playing offline removes these elements completely, but players would prefer more flexible options. A few additional settings might help enhance the visual appeal of Death Stranding 2. Or perhaps we are all simply falling into Kojima’s intended experience of questioning our connections?
