Cyberpunk 2077 is set to receive another update. Version 2.3 was originally planned for late June, but it has been delayed for additional improvements.
We now have a release date for Version 2.3: July 16. CD Projekt Red will hold a livestream on this date to discuss the game’s features. Based on past livestreams, the update may go live during the event, allowing players to immediately explore the updated Night City.
Cyberpunk 2077 Livestream Scheduled for Tomorrow, Potentially Giving Us a Patch 2.3 Release Date
The upcoming livestream will highlight the new features included in the update. Currently, there’s no information about what players can expect. Previously, updates introduced more customization options and a new photo mode, so it’s uncertain what CDPR has planned this time.
A lead designer from Virtuos will join the stream, suggesting that the studio is working with CDPR on this update. This collaboration makes sense since many CDPR developers are now focused on either The Witcher 4 or Cyberpunk 2. Paweł Sasko is now credited as associate game director for Cyberpunk 2 instead of being the quest director for Cyberpunk 2077.
Will there be more updates after this? It’s hard to say. CDPR has hinted at wrapping up work on Cyberpunk 2077 several times, only to return for more updates. Now, with Virtuos using REDengine, there’s a chance for further updates even while CDPR works on upcoming projects.
Currently, fans of Cyberpunk 2077 have plenty to be excited about. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is confirmed to have another season, and Cyberpunk 2 is already in development.
