Monster Hunter Wilds features an extensive lineup of monsters, both large and small, presenting a diverse range of creatures to study and hunt across multiple environments. Each monster presents its own unique challenge, from delicate endemic species to colossal predators that can wreak havoc. To encounter these creatures, players must progress through specific story milestones in the game.
Aside from responding to S.O.S. calls in the online multiplayer mode, the vast majority of monsters encountered will be part of the main narrative. Throughout each chapter of both the Low-Rank and High-Rank storylines, players will face various threats to the ecosystem across different regions. Monsters in Monster Hunter Wilds can be classified into two primary categories: Large and Small.
