The Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Plague Mask is a key part of the “Prevention” quest in the Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC. As the infection spreads uncontrollably and Henry faces the crisis directly, especially with quarantine measures at the Monastery, it’s clear that having a Plague Mask is essential for safety. To craft this specialized mask, you’ll need several items: Aromatic Oil, Mint, Sage, Leather, Flax Rope, and Leather. Since guards are patrolling the area, sneaking around without being caught can be tricky, but we’ve provided the locations for all the ingredients below to help you gather everything smoothly.
How to make the Plague Mask and where to find all the ingredients:
-
Mint and Sage:
Joachim’s Herb Garden is easy to reach and full of herbs. When you leave, turn right and follow the path around the back of the Monastery. The herbs grow in large quantities here, and you’ll need about eight of either—any combination. While you’re collecting Herbs, make sure to pick up 3 Chamomile, 1 Sage, and 1 Valerian as well, because you’ll need these later. -
Aromatic Oil recipe:
Inside the library, look for a desk with a book called “Records on Fragrant Oils and Their Virtues.” Flip to the second-to-last page to find the recipe for “Oil of Protection from Illness” (Oleum Contra Morbos). This will automatically be added to your recipe book in the game. -
Rope and Leather:
Go to the construction site on the southwest side of the Monastery. There, you’ll find pigskin, which is everywhere around the area, and flax rope. The rope is tricky to spot but is coiled near a parked cart and barrel, as shown in the images. -
Create the Essential Oil:
Return to the Infirmary and go to the back room. Using your new oil recipe, brew the “Essential Oil” with the Chamomile, Sage, and Valerian you gathered earlier. Once you have all the ingredients, head to the workbench opposite the Alchemy Table, interact with it, and craft your Plague Mask.
Remember:
You’ll need to be stealthy throughout this process. Take your time moving around guards, and be prepared for some NPC interactions, like convincing the librarian with speech checks.
Good luck! And if you’re interested in more adventures, check out guides on unlocking the Hardcore Mode or starting the “Brushes with Death” DLC in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2!
