This guide will explain how to obtain Fizzy Crystals and their uses. You won’t find them while exploring; first, you must complete a quest for Pompompurin. We’ll walk you through how to do this for the first time.
Updated February 24, 2025 by Jacqueline Zalace: Once you unlock Fizzy Crystals in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, you’ll be able to create both desserts and soda. We’ve included additional information to help you acquire Fizzy Crystals and complete the related quests.
Steps to Obtain Fizzy Crystals
To start collecting Fizzy Crystals, here are the initial steps you’ll need to follow.
The requirements are manageable, and reaching a friendship level of four is relatively easy. You should be able to gather the necessary ore, fix the machine, and begin creating sodas quickly.
Locating Pompompurin
Pompompurin is located on the northernmost island. Along with him, you’ll also find Pekkle. Although navigating to this spot can be tricky, you won’t need any special gear to get there.
Inside the building marked by Pompompurin’s icon (which may not be perfectly aligned on the map), you’ll find him in an ice cream shop resembling a ship.
Before you can collect Fizzy Crystals, you’ll need to raise your friendship with Pompompurin to level four; you can do this easily by giving him desserts or milk. A good option is Coral Milk, which you can find underwater near Hangyodon.
Once you achieve level four friendship with Pompompurin, you will be able to complete the quest Dessert-ed Boat, which requires you to collect six Fizzy Ore.
Collecting Fizzy Ore
Pompompurin will then guide you to the Crystal Caves, which you can identify on the map by a small pudding icon. Make your way there and enter the caves. Here, you can board a mine cart that travels along a track near the ore deposits.
Simply press the hand icon to collect the ore. It’s straightforward—you need to tap the hand icon repeatedly and choose your direction on the track when prompted. You only need six Fizzy Ore, but you can gather more if you like.
If you need more Fizzy Ore later, you can return to this cave and ride the mine cart again.
Creating Fizzy Crystals
After collecting the ore, Pompompurin realizes you need Fizzy Crystals, not just ore. This part of the quest is simple: talk to Chococat, then return to Gemstone Town, where he will set up a crafting table for you.
Once it’s ready, you’ll be able to convert six Fizzy Ore into one Fizzy Crystal. To finish the quest, head back to Pompompurin, who will then allow you to make ice cream whenever you have enough materials. Now, you’ll be able to produce Fizzy Crystals at will!
Uses for Fizzy Crystals
To the right of the mailbox in Gemstone Town, you can also find the crafting station for making soda, which requires one Fizzy Crystal. This is the primary use for your Fizzy Crystals.
Fortunately, you can collect a lot of ore simultaneously and turn it into several Fizzy Crystals, allowing you to create multiple sodas before needing to visit the cave again.
When you unlock the blueprint to build your own Soda Machine (after reaching friendship level 12 with Pekkle), you’ll need ten Ingots, five Sparks, and 100 Fizzy Crystals. This is quite a bit, so you might find yourself collecting resources for several days.
This crafted Soda Machine can be placed in any cabin, letting you create Soda wherever you are.
