Currently, there aren’t many decks available in the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, but you can still find effective strategies using most of them. While Marowak may not be the strongest EX Pokémon, incorporating it into a carefully constructed deck can frustrate your opponents with its powerful moves.
Marowak and Dugtrio often fly under the radar in competitive play, but when paired together, they can create surprising plays that may lead to quick knockouts, flipping the game in your favor. Just remember, you’ll need to rely on getting heads during your coin flips when using Marowak ex.
What Cards Do You Need For A Marowak Ex And Dugtrio Deck?
Start by obtaining your Pokémon, and try to secure Marowak ex early in the game by selecting the Mewtwo Genetic Apex pack.
You can also look for Marowak ex and Cubone in Mewtwo Genetic Apex packs, even if they weren’t your initial choices.
Giovanni is also found in these packs.
You can find Diglett and Dugtrio in the Pikachu Genetic Apex packs. To complete your trio, you’ll need to open Charizard packs to grab copies of Sabrina.
For essential item cards like Professor’s Research and X Speed, check the shop; each card costs two exchange tickets.

Acquiring the Pokémon should be fairly straightforward, but if you’re short on copies of Sabrina or Giovanni, feel free to include a Red Card as a substitute.
While Red Cards may not always be useful, they can disrupt your opponent’s strategy and prevent them from evolving their Pokémon when played at the right moment.
How To Play A Marowak Ex And Dugtrio Deck
Playing this deck requires some luck, as having a solid start doesn’t guarantee victory—you’ll need to depend on coin flips when executing Marowak’s Bonemerang attack.
Diglett and Dugtrio can serve as solid defenders at the start while you work on getting Marowak into play, but if you have a great hand that allows for Cubone’s evolution, feel free to send it out first.
Although Diglett and Dugtrio aren’t known for their offensive capabilities, using Giovanni can catch your opponent off guard and deal more unexpected damage, possibly knocking out a Pokémon that wasn’t prepared for the impact.
Even with a bit of bad luck, Marowak can deal a significant 160 damage, taking out well-known EX Pokémon like Mewtwo ex, Pikachu ex, and Starmie ex, which makes it a strong contender among Fighting-type cards in Pokémon Pocket.
Even if you only average heads once per two flips, delivering 80 damage with an attack that requires just two energy can still lead you to victory.
