Indiana Jones and the Great Circle resumes a year after the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark, starting once again at Marshall College. As always, Dr. Jones finds himself embroiled in excitement, and you’re thrown straight into the action with fresh mysteries to unravel.

Solving the initial puzzles to set Indy on his next mission won’t be a walk in the park; you’ll have to tune into the details, which foreshadows the kind of critical thinking you’ll need for the more challenging parts of the game later on. If you find yourself stuck at the beginning, this guide will help you navigate through to the main storyline.

How to Track Down and Confront the Intruder

After a familiar flashback serves as the tutorial, the scene shifts to Indy’s office late at night. The cutscene will automatically transition you into the hallway. Move straight ahead until you spot a staircase on your left, then head up.

You can re-enter the office if you want, but it’s not necessary since you can’t collect anything until later.

At the top of the stairs, turn right, keeping an eye out for the footprints and scattered books. You’ll arrive at a landing with a view of the college museum. Turn right again and descend the stairs at the end of the hall.

At the bottom, turn left at the desk and follow the red carpet to the closed doors. Push through to face the intruder.

Confronting the Giant

You’re not actually expected to win this fight. While you might manage to hit the Giant a few times, his powerful grabs and throws are beyond what you can handle right now. After he grabs you a second time, he will choke you out, and that ends the encounter.

How to Organize the Museum Displays

When Marcus finds Indy passed out the next morning, your first job is to return the artifacts to their rightful spots to find out which one is missing. The artifacts belong in the two display cases along the right side of the wall. There are five slots and four artifacts scattered on the floor. Pick them up one by one and place them correctly.

Marcus and Indy will discuss whether you’ve placed the items correctly. If you get it wrong, simply pick up the artifact and try a different spot.

The middle pedestal in the right case will be empty, indicating that the thief made off with that artifact.

How to Retrieve the Giant’s Pendant

Next, you need to find a hint about the Giant’s identity. Take your time with this and explore the building for extra collectibles if you like. You can also visit the infirmary to grab a bandage from the medical cabinet to recover your health post-fight, and remember, there’s an apple on the desk in Indy’s classroom for later.

When you’re ready, head back to the room with the overturned bookcase that you passed earlier on your way from Indy’s office. You can either retrace your steps from the museum or simply go straight down the hall to your office door.

There’s a map on the wall opposite the infirmary that can make navigating the building much easier.

Lift the fallen bookcase and climb it to reach the pendant dangling from the broken window.

How to Prepare for the Adventure

Return to Indy’s office to collect several items and pack them in your suitcase before embarking on your adventure.
