Cookie Run: Kingdom is a dynamic game that continually evolves with new cookies, costumes, and limited-time mini-games tied to special events. Players can always look forward to fresh content to engage with. However, the latest mini-game, The Secret Garden, has sparked frustration among fans since its launch.
This mini-game became available to players in late February and early March, but many are finding it challenging enough that some have considered quitting the game altogether. Fortunately, there are strategies that can make the experience more manageable.
Optimize Your Board Layout
To achieve the highest possible score, you must maximize your board’s space. I initially tried combining items in the center, but I quickly learned that placing your highest-level items in a corner is far more effective. Focus on whatever corner is accumulating the most items at the start. I’ve often faced challenges when high-level items are scattered across the board, which leads to congestion in between them.
You have the most control when there are fewer empty spaces, so I recommend filling the board completely at first and then concentrating on a specific area. Typically, I begin by filling the board to capacity and then merge items to create a strategic space for the next move. Keeping the board organized makes it easier to plan your actions.
Using Hammers and Choco Rewinds Wisely
Throughout the Secret Garden mini-game, new items were introduced. One key item is the "Seal of Approval," a form of event currency used to purchase the "Slammin’ Hammer," which can remove any item from the board. Another useful item is the "Choco Rewind," which allows you to undo up to three prior actions. Blueprints for gnomes also come into play, letting you place an item wherever you want. While all of these items can significantly impact your game, they are best used sparingly—especially late in a round—as it can be tough to keep your supplies stocked.
These items can be earned by completing tasks outside the mini-game. If you find yourself stuck, exiting the Secret Garden momentarily to tackle missions can help you gather resources or spend your seals. Hammers tend to be more versatile compared to rewinds, and should ideally be used when a specific obstacle hinders your progress.
It’s generally advisable to deploy gnome blueprints before reaching for rewinds or hammers, as they can help you avoid the need for the latter two options.
When to Consider Restarting
Although it might be hard for some to hear, knowing when to restart is crucial in the Secret Garden. Eventually, you may deplete your seals, Choco rewinds, Slammin’ hammers, and Gnome Blueprints and hit a dead end. If you find this situation arises early in your round, restarting might be the best choice. Wrapping up a round grants you certain rewards, making your future attempts smoother. If you reach level nine, you have a chance to earn additional hammers and blueprints.
For each level after level three, you’ll earn 25 seals. Plus, you can gain star jellies and topping pieces, but those are not as relevant here. When you reach level 12, you could also acquire Lights of Absolute Truth for the Awakened Pure Vanilla Cookie’s gacha.
The Secret Garden mini-game also links to the "Chest of Trophies" event, where every level six item can earn you 1,000 points, offering another chance to earn Pure Vanilla’s soulstones—though you may also have a shot at Black Sapphire Cookie’s soulstones.
