Dune: Awakening features several social hubs where you can interact with NPCs and other players, engage in a variety of activities, from accepting quests to managing your taxes. However, the game doesn’t clearly point you to these locations right away, encouraging you to explore and discover them on your own.
One of these hubs is Harko Village, one of the largest in the game. Since there are no flashy signs guiding you to Harko, you might find yourself searching in the wrong spots if you miss whatever hints the game provides.
How to Reach Harko Village
You won’t be able to simply walk or ride your sandbike straight to Harko Village. Instead, you’ll need to take to the skies.
There are a couple of options for making the journey:
-
Hire a pilot at an Outpost: Throughout the world, you’ll find various outposts and trade stations. Most of these locations have an ornithopter pilot waiting to take you on a flight. Speak to them and request a ride. Keep in mind that fares can vary widely in Solari based on your destination.
- Create your own ornithopter: While this method is more time-consuming than hiring a pilot, it can be a more rewarding option once you have the resources to build your own aircraft.
Traveling to Harko Village will cost you approximately 2,500 Solari, so it’s wise to complete all your necessary business during each visit. Forgetting something could lead to additional expenses.
What Is Harko Village?
Harko Village serves as the primary base for the Harkonnen faction in Dune: Awakening, but you don’t have to be aligned with them to enter. Various other Houses are also represented, and you’ll find a plethora of vendors, Class Trainers, and an Imperial Bank, among other facilities.
For example, you’ll need to handle your Imperial Tax payments here unless you want to attract the ire of the Imperials. You can easily manage this at the Bank in Harko Village, where you can also store any Solari you prefer not to carry around.
As a social hub, Harko Village is also a popular spot for fellow players from your world. While you might not spend much time there at the start, if you choose to align with the Harkonnen, it could become a frequent stop for you in the later stages of the game.
