Like many RPG stories, Crimson Desert begins by having the main character experience a traumatic event where they lose everything. The first two chapters focus on Kliff earning back the trust of Hernand’s people and starting a new journey.
At the start of the third chapter, your earned trust allows you to secure a new Greymane camp during the quest “A Fresh Start.” After establishing the camp, you’ll need to complete various tasks to set it up. Some of these tasks can be tricky if you’re unfamiliar with the controls, so here’s how to do each one.
How to Push the Wagon
After a cutscene that triggers the “A Fresh Start” quest, multiple orange circles will appear on your mini-map. These indicate tasks you need to complete. The closest circle shows where you need to push the wagon, but before that, you must clear some boulders blocking its path.
You should already have a pickaxe. If not, you can pick one up near a wooden pillar beside the boulders. Once the pickaxe is in your inventory, open your quick access wheel and go to the equipment tab. Switch through the items until the pickaxe appears.
This will equip the pickaxe in your hand. Use the focus mode to break the three boulders by attacking them. When a blue light appears on a boulder, hit attack, and your character will break it. After destroying all three boulders, push the wagon to its shaded spot to complete this task.
How to Drive in the Stakes
The next orange circle marks where you have to drive stakes into the ground. At the location, there’s a tent with four small wooden stakes sticking out. You’ll need a mallet, which you can pick up from a nearby table.
Equip the mallet the same way as the pickaxe. Use focus mode and hit each stake three times to drive it in. Once all four stakes are secure, this task will be finished.
How to Move the Sacks
The third task involves moving sacks at your camp. Head to the next orange circle and use focus mode to pick up one of the sacks on the wooden platform there. Once you grab a sack, a new area will be marked. Drop the sack there.
You need to do this three times because there are three sacks. After all are moved, you will be ready for the final step of the quest.
How to Raise the Banner
The last task is to raise the camp banner so everyone knows it belongs to you. Go to the final orange circle, where you’ll find the flag. Use your Nature’s Grasp ability to lift the flag into the air. Carefully carry it over to the pedestal, and it will automatically set in place.
Once the flag is secured, you can cancel the ability, completing this final camp task and moving on to the next main quest.
