How to Start the “To Help a Hero” Quest
To kick off the “To Help a Hero” quest, head to a town called Hale, which is located in the northwest part of the map. Once there, find a man named Pyke and talk to him.
Pyke will share that he was once a knight but lost a valuable medallion and needs your assistance to get it back. Agreeing to help him will officially start the “To Help a Hero” quest, adding it to your journal.
How to Find Pyke’s Medallion
The medallion you’re looking for is in the Fetid Grove cave, which is located southeast of Hale. Make your way there. After reaching the entrance, proceed inside until you arrive at the Root Door.
Interact with the door to open it, then take the path on the left until you find the door leading to the enchanted area of the cave.
Continue along the only path until you reach a wooden door that takes you to the upper level.
On the upper level, you may face enemies that you can confront or sneak by. Your goal is to reach a chest on the southern side of the cave. Inside, you’ll find Pyke’s medallion, so be sure to grab it before you exit the cave.
How to Complete the “To Help a Hero” Quest
Once you have the medallion, return to Hale and find Pyke. Hand over his medallion, and he will be grateful for your help.
In appreciation, he’ll reward you with his Thorn Shield, a magical item that enhances your Block ability and reflects spells.
