Finsider is one of the most intriguing Pals in Palworld. At first, it looks like just a basic yellow fish, but there’s more to it than meets the eye. Upon closer inspection, you’ll see that it’s actually a Pal dressed in a fish costume. Its Palpedia entry states that if you reach inside the costume, all you’ll find is a pair of eyes—almost like a trick of the light.
It whimsically suggests that the inside is as vast as an endless bag and might even contain the universe. If you find yourself curious about this enigmatic Pal, this guide will help you track down Finsider.
Where to Find Finsider
Finsider is a Water-type Pal that seems to be a yellow fish at first glance, but upon closer look, it’s clear it’s just a costume. There are a few islands where you can catch Finsider.
One location is Sunlit Isle, which is found at coordinates (398, -473). To get there, you’ll need to either sail over the water or use a mount to fly. Begin at the Marsh Island fast travel point located south of Marsh Island, and head southwest across the ocean.
You can encounter Finsider along the coastline or in the elevated northern area reachable by stairs. The Finsiders on this isle range from levels one to ten.
An additional spot to search is Oasis Isle, located at (904, 192). To reach it, head southeast from the PIDF Tower Entrance fast travel point in the Dessicated Desert. Although the map indicates that Oasis Isle is a habitat for Finsider, currently, no Finsiders can be found there, either physically or through fishing. This situation may change with future updates.
Alternatively, you can fish for Finsider in the Dessicated Desert. Though they don’t physically appear in the area, they can be fished from lakes and shorelines. These Finsiders typically range from levels 25 to 30.
Keep in mind that Finsiders have an aggressive nature, and being Water-types, they are vulnerable to Electric-type Pals. Be sure to bring the right companions with you when you go after them.
How to Breed Finsider
You can also obtain Finsider by hatching a Damp Egg found in the wild. Another option is to breed specific pairs of Pals at the Breeding Farm to produce a Damp Egg that may contain a Finsider. The table below lists the required breeding combinations:
First Parent | Second Parent |
---|---|
Turtacle | Mau |
Munchill | Finsider Ignis |
Munchill | Killamari Primo |
Gloopie | Hoocrates |
Lamball | Dazzi Noct |
Pengullet Lux | Flopie |
Depresso | Ribbuny Botan |
Items Dropped by Finsider
When you capture or defeat a Finsider, you might receive various items:
Farming the lower-level Finsiders on Sunlit Isle is a smart strategy. For the best item yield, capture them first, then process them with a Meat Cleaver.
Partner Skill & Work Suitability
Finsider has a partner skill named Echo Chamber, which reduces the weight of weapons in your inventory while it’s part of your team. This can be helpful for players who carry multiple weapons, though it may not make a huge difference if your character already has a high Weight stat.
In terms of practical work usage, Finsider is not very effective. It has low levels and limited work capabilities:
Work Suitability | Level |
---|---|
Transporting | Level 1 |
Watering | Level 2 |
Passive Skills
Finsider doesn’t have many highly compatible passive skills, but one good option is Lunker, which boosts its Water-type attack damage by 20%. This makes it somewhat more effective during battles.
