One of the most intriguing features of Palworld is the variety of Pal variants. Some adapt to their surroundings or change in ways that modify their looks and types, much like real-life creatures. With the Tides of Terraria update, numerous new Pals and special variants have been introduced, increasing the total to over 150.
Finsider Ignis is a pink variant of Finsider that has both Fire and Water types. Its appearance is described as being as infinitely deep as a bag that could contain an entire universe. If you’re on the hunt for this unique Pal, you’re in the right spot.
Where to Find Finsider Ignis
Finsider Ignis may look like a reddish-pink fish at first glance, but a closer inspection reveals it’s actually a creature clad in a fish costume. Unlike the original Finsider, this Pal is both Water and Fire type. You won’t find Finsider Ignis wandering in the wild—it can only be caught by fishing.
One of the prime locations you can find it is on Phantom Isle, which was added with the Tides of Terraria update. It can be found at coordinates -905, -207. You can head directly to this location, but there are also two nearby fast travel points for convenience.

One location to catch it is Sakurajima Island’s Southern Sandbar, positioned southwest of Sakurajima Island. From there, travel southwest across the ocean to reach Phantom Isle. Alternatively, start at the Ruined Fortress City fast travel point, head north into the sea, and then travel west to find Phantom Isle.
You can catch Finsider Ignis by fishing along the western and eastern coasts of Phantom Isle. The Finsider Ignis you catch here will generally be between levels 30 and 40.

You don’t have to limit your search to Phantom Isle; you can also catch Finsider Ignis in various spots around Feybreak Island. Look along the ocean shores or in lakes (avoid the purple land to the south), and you’ll have a good chance of finding this Pal. The Finsider Ignis you catch in Feybreak Island will usually be between levels 50 and 55.
How to Breed Finsider Ignis

You can also obtain Finsider Ignis through Damp Eggs found in the wild. However, since various Pals can hatch from Damp Eggs, breeding specific Pals in a Breeding Farm is the most reliable way to obtain Finsider Ignis:

Items Dropped by Finsider Ignis
When you catch or defeat a Finsider Ignis, you can obtain various items:
Partner Skill & Work Suitability

Finsider Ignis has a partner skill named Ember Chamber, similar to the original Finsider’s skill. When Finsider Ignis is in your party, it reduces the weight of your inventory’s weapons. This is helpful if you carry multiple weapons, but less so if you prefer just one.
Unlike the regular Finsider, Finsider Ignis also enhances the attack power of Fire-type Pals while in your party. This skill is particularly advantageous in battles against Ice and Grass types.
In terms of work suitability, if you acquire Finsider Ignis during the mid or late game, it may not be particularly valuable. It’s hard to get in the early game since both Phantom Isle and Feybreak Island are challenging areas. Thus, Finsider Ignis might not be especially effective at your base later in the game. Its work suitability includes:

Passive Skills

Finsider Ignis has a few passive skills that could enhance its attributes. Vanguard, which boosts your character’s attack by ten percent, is a solid option. Stronghold Strategist increases your character’s defense by ten percent and is another good choice. You might also consider Eternal Flame or Lunker to further enhance Finsider Ignis’s capabilities.
