The idea behind Date Everything is straightforward. Virtually every item in your home can be loved, and it goes beyond just inanimate objects. Your surroundings, as well as your darkest fears and anxieties, are ready for some affection. It’s a lot to take in. But there’s not a single human involved—except for one.
Well, if we count a ghost as a human. Aside from that, Zoey is truly just a person—no extra explanations needed. If you’re interested in exploring a more human (but still otherworldly) experience, Zoey is the right choice for you. You’ll just need to bring her into this world first.
How to Meet Zoey
Zoey operates differently from every other Dateable in the game. Truly different. Given her unique situation as a human ghost, it’s only fair. While most Dateables can be found and interacted with using the Dateviators, Zoey can only be met in a specific location at a very particular time.
First, you need access to the attic. To do this, enter the crawlspace beneath the boiler room and pick up Keith, the skeleton key. With the key in hand, you can access the attic where all the Dateables gather. Characters like Parker and Sophia are available for conversation right away, but not Zoey.
You’ll naturally be led to the crawlspace if you’ve been following Beau’s storyline.
Since Zoey isn’t a typical object in your home, she only appears in the dead of night once your Dateviators have run out of charges. Where normally you might head to bed, this is the rare moment when Zoey makes her appearance. Go back to the attic, and you’ll find her as a glowing orb near a pile of boxes.
When your Dateviators are out of charges, just click on her, even if you’re not wearing the Dateviators, and initiate a conversation with her.
Subsequent Meetings
After your first meeting, you must continue to meet Zoey in the same manner until her story is fully revealed, which can take a while. Fortunately, you won’t have to use a Dateviator charge since her appearances only occur after midnight.
Once her story concludes, she’ll remain in the attic and can be interacted with any time of day.
How to Perform the Seance
As you converse with Zoey more, she will begin to recall parts of her life before death. This sets off a series of events that ultimately helps her reconnect with the living, even if she remains a ghost. All of this begins with a necklace.
Finding Zoey’s Necklace
The first memory Zoey recalls is of her necklace. She can’t quite remember its significance, but she knows it exists and how it looks. If it stands out in her mind, it must have been important. She asks you to find it and bring it back.
Zoey gives off a distinct 1980s vibe, and you should have already encountered one character representative of that era: Bodhi Windbreaker. If you’ve met him in the crawlspace while searching for Keith, you’re in luck.
If you’ve spoken to Bodhi by the time Zoey mentions her necklace, you can discuss him with her.
After speaking with him for the first time, he’ll move to the sofa in the Living Room. Chat with him there, and he’ll share stories about the 80s and gift you a nostalgic necklace—the very one Zoey is looking for.
Return to Zoey at midnight to give it to her. She’ll be thrilled, but her emotions will start to surface more intensely. Occasionally, she might express these feelings towards you, causing her to disappear for a day, which prevents further interactions. The necklace triggers deeper memories and emotions, including memories of her untimely death. It’s understandable for her to feel overwhelmed; just be patient.
Recruiting the Members
After several conversations, Zoey will realize something important: she was once helping the person responsible for her death in their quest to recover their loved ones. When that failed, she became a ghost searching for a way back. So what’s stopping the seance from working now? Though there’s no guarantee it will succeed, she believes it’s worth a try.
To proceed, you’ll need to gather others to assist with the seance. But not just anyone will do; it has to be something abstract yet still connected to feelings. Think of it as bridging the gap between object and idea. Luckily, several characters fit the criteria.
In total, you need to recruit three characters:
- Nightmare – A concept everyone can relate to. You can find Nightmare whenever you go to sleep at night. It’s random, but you can guarantee it by consuming a coffee from the coffee machine, Kopi, while using the last charge of the Dateviator at 9 PM.
- Willi – A representation of work, essential for all. You can find Willi inside your phone but need to access the workspace app to meet her.
- Reggie – The embodiment of rejection, which requires a different approach. He won’t just appear; you have to get a Dateable to despise you. Be ready to sacrifice love for the chance to meet Reggie and help Zoey.
You can ask Zoey at night if you have enough Dateables to perform the seance. You can’t proceed without enough participants.
The good news is, you don’t have to interact with each Dateable personally to recruit them for the seance. If you’ve met them at least once, they’ll automatically join. No need to waste a whole day begging anyone to help.
Performing the Seance
Once you’ve gathered Willi, Nightmare, and Reggie, head back to Zoey. All recruited characters will come together on-screen to conduct the seance, focusing their thoughts on Zoey, even though they can’t see her.
Other characters in the attic will chime in, as they can’t see her either. Parker might mention money, while Sophia and Monique question what’s happening. But despite the confusion, the seance will succeed. At the end, Zoey will offer you a choice: should she stay bound to this world for friendships, or should her spirit move on completely?
Opt for bringing her into this world. She longs for friendship, and that’s ultimately the best choice.
How to Change Your Relationship Status with Zoey
Even with her unique traits, Zoey still has three possible endings like any other Dateable. Here’s how to achieve them:
Love
To earn Zoey’s affection, you need to show her respect. Take an interest in her past, don’t rush her, and allow her to find her own peace at her own pace.
Friends
If you meet the love-ending criteria, you can opt for a friends ending instead. Alternatively, you can be a bit more distant. Avoid diving into her past and fast-track through her story while remaining caring but less involved.
Hate
Getting a hate ending with Zoey is a bit challenging. While you can be rude at times, you’ll still end up performing the seance with her. After it’s concluded, she’ll conclude that although you helped her, you’re not a particularly nice person, leading to her hating you.
