In Palworld, there’s a Pal for everyone. You might pick one based on strength, practicality, or simply the way it looks. Some players go for cool Pals, while others lean towards the cute or the bizarre. And then you have the fans of Lovander… but let’s skip that for now.
Are you someone who prefers their Pals to be colossal? Some players just want a huge beast in their team. Take Mammorest, for instance—it’s a magnificent titan, although it’s not much help in aquatic environments. But what if you wanted a giant Pal that could swim? Introducing Whalaska Ignis. This guide will tell you exactly where to catch this gentle giant of the sea.
Where to Find Whalaska Ignis
Whalaska Ignis is a massive, pinkish aquatic Pal, a variant of Whalaska. Unlike the original Ice & Water-type, Whalaska Ignis is both Ice & Fire-type. One important detail is that you won’t find this Pal wandering around in the wild; you can only catch it by fishing, so you’ll need to visit high-level areas.
The easiest spot to snag Whalaska Ignis is near the No. 2 Wildlife Sanctuary, at coordinates -626, -73. You can quickly reach this location from two fast travel points.
One route is to head northwest from the Ruined Fortress City fast travel point, which is located north of Mount Obsidian. Alternatively, you can travel south across the ocean from the Sakurajima Island – Southern Sandbar fast travel point, located in the southwest part of the island. At this location, Whalaska Ignis appears at levels 40–45.
While other areas have higher-level Whalaska Ignis, the fishing spot near No. 2 Wildlife Sanctuary is safer, though it has lower-level variants.
You can also find Whalaska Ignis at Feybreak Island, typically along the island’s shores, except for the southern purple-soiled area. Here, Whalaska Ignis is commonly around levels 50–55. Just be cautious if you haven’t turned off the anti-air defenses on Feybreak Island, as flying mounts can be risky.
The most powerful Whalaska Ignis can be located at the Level 60 Rayne Syndicate Platform Oilrig, south of Feybreak Island, where they will range from levels 55–60. You can fish here at two locations:
- –1679, -1457 (near the eastern entrance)
- –1731, -1461 (under the rig’s iron support pillars)
The oilrig has air defenses, making it a high-level zone. If you’re not prepared, entering the platform can be dangerous, but you can still find Whalaska Ignis in the waters outside.
How to Breed Whalaska Ignis
You can also obtain Whalaska Ignis by hatching a
Huge Frozen Egg you find in the wild. If you’re unable to find one, you can create an egg containing Whalaska Ignis through specific Pal pairings in the Breeding Farm:

Partner Skill & Work Suitability
Whalaska Ignis has the Partner Skill Cozy Whale Cruiser. When this Pal follows you, fishing minigames become noticeably easier. The gauge begins partially filled, giving you a head start, and it fills more as you fish. This skill significantly boosts your fishing success.
You can also ride Whalaska Ignis as a mount, but you’ll need to craft a Whalaska Ignis Saddle, which becomes available at level 62 in the Technology Tree. Below are the materials you’ll need:
When it comes to work, Whalaska Ignis excels at both Kindling and Cooling, making it a great addition to optimize your base. Check out its work suitability levels below:
